Role
Who you are
- We're looking for someone who is deeply passionate about data, analytics, and the power of information to transform brand loyalty programs
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5-10+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience with data visualization tools and databases
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

What the job involves
- As our first Data Scientist, you will leverage data to drive insights and strategies that will propel Hang's platform to new heights
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze complex data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
- Model Development: Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to predict customer behaviors and enhance platform capabilities
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decisions and strategy development
- Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Data Strategy: Contribute to the development of data collection strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
Our take
Loyalty programs and memberships have long since been used by companies to increase customer engagement, often consisting of loyalty cards, discounts, or premium services. However, these methods have quickly become outdated due to technological innovations, resulting in companies needing to do more to keep up engagement, particularly with younger customers.
Hang provides NFT-based brand membership and loyalty systems to companies, allowing them to provide customers with perks, rewards, and experiences that are validated through the proof of an NFT. The company facilitates this through a no-code NFT contract building service across Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon blockchains, allowing companies to link loyalty systems and automated art generation to the NFT memberships.
Whilst NFTs are being used by many companies for investment, gaming, and other purposes, Hang has identified a unique angle by applying it to loyalty memberships. Furthermore, the company’s no-code approach allows companies to benefit from the perks that NFTs present without having to hire expensive bespoke blockchain engineers.
