Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a confident, self-driven Account Executive to join our CPACharge team
- At least 1 year of outbound sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of building pipeline through prospecting you generated yourself
- High level of comfort with cold calling and a resilient, thick skinned approach to rejection. You see a "no" as part of the process, not a setback
- A naturally conversational, articulate, and engaging communication style; you ask good questions and enjoy the back and forth of a sales conversation
- Exceptional customer service skills paired with a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and extroverted personality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Genuine passion for sales, high personal confidence, and a self driven sense of motivation
- The ability to act as a consultant and get prospects to think differently about their business
- Strong accountability and ownership mindset. Someone who focuses on solutions and next steps rather than excuses
- Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast growing, competitive environment
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time for sales kickoffs, trade shows, and territory events
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation
- Ideally located in Austin, TX (HQ)
What the job involves
- In this role, you will be responsible for applying and understanding CPACharge's product, sales methodology, processes, prospecting techniques, and customer base while selling to Small to Medium sized Accounting Firms
- You'll focus on firms that can benefit from our payment solution in a growing and competitive market
- From prospecting to closing and everything in between, as an Account Executive, this role is yours to own. Your day to day will involve strategizing, calling, discovering, pitching, and following up to articulate the value CPACharge can unlock for prospects
- It takes someone who is genuinely energized by the outbound hunt, comfortable with rejection, and relentless about finding the next conversation

- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the 8am CPACharge solution and connect this knowledge directly to customer ROI; understand the competitive landscape (strengths, weaknesses, benefits) to best position CPACharge in the market
- Empower our customers to connect their goals and challenges with the solution that only 8am CPACharge can offer, through curious, engaging conversation that gets prospects thinking differently about their business
- Develop strategies and coordinate cross-functional support with Underwriting and Customer Success teams to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met
- Timely follow-up and qualification of new prospects from either inbound leads or customer requests generated by marketing
- Drive your own pipeline through networking, relationship building, and consistent, confident cold calling. Outbound activity is treated as a core part of the role, not a fallback
- Obtain repeat business, referrals, and references by applying an understanding of the unique requirements of your customers
- Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and obtain business requirements
- Exceed performance standards for sales and new account goals, owning your results and proactively adjusting your approach rather than pointing to external factors when a deal falls short
- Maintain accurate, clear, and updated data for all assigned customers in Salesforce
