Role
Who you are
- Strong background in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or Applied Statistics
- Proficiency with Python scientific stack: numpy, pandas, scikit-learn,, PyTorch, etc
- Familiarity with version-controlled, reproducible workflows (cloud compute, Git)
- Familiarity with building and backtesting models
- Excited by building practical solutions, rapid iteration, and real-world problem-solving
Desirable
- Experience with geospatial techniques (rasterio, xarray, geopandas, GDAL) and remote sensing data (optical, radar, LiDAR) and geospatial analysis at scale
- Experience with time series classification, change detection, or anomaly detection in ecological or environmental data
What the job involves
- Design and implement scalable ML models for geospatial data analysis to provide insight into the first-mile of supply chains
- Use remote sensing datasets (e.g., Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, GEDI) to fuse multi-modal data sources for predictive modeling
- Develop time-series models for detecting environmental change
- Work with Python-based geospatial workflows (e.g., rasterio, geopandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch) and contribute to the team git repository
- Collaborate with the engineering team to turn outputs into pipelines that deliver actionable insights to our platform and customers, ensuring scientific robustness and real-world relevance
