Who you are

You’ve worked at an early stage company (<100 people) or been a founder yourself
You have an expert level understanding of Typescript and React
You want to get involved in product work, rather than just being handed tickets. You’ll be expected to come up with features autonomously, by reading customer feedback and analysing usage data
You can function as a fullstack engineer, working on client and server side code, answering data questions using SQL, and contributing to devops and CI/CD processes
High interest in AI and the problem we’re using it to solve

What the job involves

We’re very intentional about adding new people. We think a small team of exceptional people working hard at a problem they care about will always beat a larger, more unfocused team
That does mean you’ll need to bring an intensity to this role that might not be asked at other companies. But it also means you will be fast tracked into more senior roles and responsibilities far earlier
We predict we’ll reach $15m in revenue by the end of 2025 - there will be plenty of opportunities for you!
We also believe in hiring people who want ownership and autonomy in their work, and giving it to them
We only hire product engineers. What that means is instead of just being given tickets to implement, you’ll be owning a whole product: shaping the roadmap by thinking from first principles, looking at usage data and speaking to customers, then architecting and implementing your ideas
We use Typescript for all code
We have a frontend app built with React, but the product is very backend heavy: it’s deployed on Google Cloud Platform using Cloud Functions, Firestore, Cloud Storage and PubSub
We use Bigquery as our data warehouse, Looker to visualise it, and Sentry and Google Cloud Logging for monitoring. We use Github Actions for CI/CD
