- Strong experience using Go
- Experience with Javascript and Typescript
- Experience with metrics and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with SQL and common relational database systems such as PostgreSQL
- Experience with Kubernetes or similar deployment tools
- Experience with distributed systems
- Proven ability to drive projects independently, from concept to implementation – gathering requirements, writing technical specifications, implementing, testing, and releasing
- Familiarity with implementing and consuming RESTful APIs
Desirable
- Experience with C++ or Rust
- Experience scaling systems to meet increasing performance and usability demands
- Experience working on a control and/or data plane
- Experience using Cloudflare Workers or Pages
- Experience working in frontend frameworks such as React

What the job involves
- Join the Workers Deploy & Config team, the engine behind Cloudflare’s serverless edge developer platform
- You’ll build the large-scale systems that let developers deploy, configure, and manage Workers globally, from simple static sites to full-stack applications serving millions of users
- This team powers the foundation behind much of Cloudflare’s developer platform, including services like Pages and R2
- The work combines distributed systems, high-traffic APIs, performance, reliability, and developer experience
- Design, build, and ship features and services within the Workers control plane
- Improve the platform’s performance, availability, and scalability
- Design resilient storage schemas and I/O patterns for long-term platform growth
- Contribute to architecture and design discussions for foundational capabilities
- Own production reliability, including participation in on-call rotation
- Partner with Product Managers and customers to translate complex problems into scalable solutions
- Drive projects independently from requirements and specs through implementation, testing, and release
- Share knowledge and mentor interns and junior engineers
- Research, prototype, and introduce new technologies when they solve meaningful problems

Cloudflare is a multi-service global network that provides web security and infrastructure, DDoS mitigation services, and a content delivery network. Founded in 2009, Cloudflare has risen to become an industry giant, with over 25 million global internet properties on its network.
Cloudflare has been responsible for a number of admirable initiatives, offering free web protection to human rights groups, journalists, artists, and US election websites. This goes some way to counteracting the flak Cloudflare has received in some circles for the controversial groups and users who use its services. This chequered history, however, has not affected its over 80% market share in the content delivery network field.
This is perhaps in part because it has proven sharp at staying abreast of the rapidly morphing tech and digital space and customer demands. For example, Cloudflare is shifting to 100% renewable energy usage to create a zero-emissions internet, and in 2020 released a feature that would help users navigate data privacy regulations by selecting where their data is stored.
And impressive third-quarter 2025 results show strong momentum, with revenue rising to $562 million from $430 million a year earlier. The company also raised its full-year guidance, underscoring confidence in continued growth. As demand for secure, cloud-based infrastructure keeps growing, Cloudflare's expanding platform and improving efficiency leave it well positioned to capture further gains in a rapidly growing market.
