Who you are
- Note: We serve a significant Spanish-speaking customer base. Professional fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred and will be prioritized in our selection process
- 1-2 years of experience in software sales, preferably high-volume SMB SaaS sales - with closing experience
- Consultative, customer-first sales approach
- History of personal and professional excellence

- Experience with restaurants (selling to or working in!) is a huge plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for an Account Executive to join our growing sales team. This role is best suited for people who are passionate about helping small businesses grow, have a track record of sales excellence and are committed to building trusting relationships with restaurant owners
- At Owner.com, we believe in collaboration and connectivity. That’s why we take a hybrid approach, our Account Executives work out of our Toronto office 3 days per week on our core anchor days (M,W,F) with your first month being 5 days per week for training. This balance allows our team to build strong in-person connections while maintaining flexibility and focus
- Become an expert in our product and the industry so that you can advise restaurant owners in a high-trust manner
- Collaborate with restaurant owners to align their goals and objectives with our product capabilities
- Sell on value and return on investment (ROI) vs. technical functionality
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline alongside the XDR team
- Collaborate closely with our onboarding team to deliver a seamless launch of product to our clients
- Educate yourself daily by reading, listening to podcasts, and learning from your teammates and peers
- Go above and beyond delivering and exceeding your quota to help your teammates and the company succeed
Our take
The Pandemic caused a major upheaval in the US restaurant industry. Smaller operations struggled to stay afloat amidst brick-and-mortar closures, and as the demand for home delivery soared their margins were tightened further by hefty third-party delivery app charges. Add to that the fact that consumers become customers of the delivery app, not the restaurant itself, and it’s a development that has spelt real trouble for independent locales. Owner has set out to level the playing field.
Owner’s platform provides independent restaurants with the infrastructure they need to take control of their business without deferring to third-party apps like GrubHub and Deliveroo. It offers marketing, online ordering, and support solutions to over 10,000 restaurants across the U.S. The company has taken impressive first strides, too: they have a 7 figure run-rate, over 105% monthly revenue retention, and helped restaurants avoid millions in online order platform fees.
It’s a hugely attractive proposition for independent business owners, and research suggests it’s a winning idea for consumers too. Over 60% say they’d prefer to deal with restaurants directly, but historically the infrastructure simply hasn’t been in place to do so. With Owner seeing impressive traction by tripling its customers between 2023 and 2024, it's unsurprising that its 2025 funding is being channelled into engineering and design teams, alongside the development of new tools.
