Who you are
- We are looking for someone eager to learn about the legal functions and operations of a rapidly-growing SaaS company and the legal challenges unique to the AI space
- This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is considering law school in a few years and wants to gain exposure to the legal field
- We are seeking a candidate with excellent attention to detail
- This role will touch on a variety of legal areas, from traditional commercial work to compliance/product-related projects, so we’re also looking for someone who can learn quickly and views new challenges with excitement rather than intimidation
- Bachelor’s degree from a top four-year college or university; good GPA
- 0-3 years of professional experience

- Strong researcher–demonstrated ability to reliably and thoroughly source data/information, interpret such information and augment with necessary context, and provide actionable recommendations or guidance to decision makers

- Good communicator
- Comfortable both owning deadlines with minimal supervision and taking instruction/working in close partnership with others

- Wants to work in person at NYC headquarters (33rd and Park) 4-5 days a week
What the job involves
- You will be the fourth member of the company’s legal department, reporting to the Head of Legal, and will play a key role in supporting various legal matters for the company
- You will be joining a high-performing, collaborative legal team led by attorneys with degrees from top law schools and experience at elite law firms
- This role offers a unique opportunity for hands-on mentorship, accelerated learning, and exposure to sophisticated legal work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- This role will support myriad critical legal workstreams, so a meticulous and exacting approach to one’s work is essential
- You'll be assisting with customer contract review and approvals
- Helping to develop and stand up contracting and organizational processes that will allow us to move with greater efficiency as we continue to scale
- Assisting with legal research on relevant regulatory regimes
- Tracking new and amended laws
- Developing and delivering training programs to company stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and best practices
- Assisting with various organizational projects
- Assisting with commercial and financial operational matters in close partnership with our Sales and Finance teams
- Taking on ad hoc projects in other areas across the business

EliseAI, previously MeetElise, provides AI-powered leasing agent software that aims to solve this problem.
The company deploys machine learning to fill communication gaps between agents and clients, in addition to providing mixed reality solutions for digital property viewings. The startup claims that their software increases conversion rates from traditional leasing methods and tools by more than 65%, responding instantly to 90% of custom inquiries for over 250,000 properties. 60% of the top 50 real estate businesses in the US use EliseAI, whilst 30 million residents and prospective customers have had conversations with the AI.
Estate agents across the globe have developed digital platforms to serve customers digitally. However, EliseAI presents an all-in-one solution that aims to support estate agents and their clients, regardless of whether in-person communication is possible. Funding secured by the company will be used by to propel its growth and prop up its already secured equity capital.
