Role
Who you are
- 2-3 years of sales experience for an NGS, diagnostic, lab or healthcare company
- You’ll need to be fluent in English and in German (Full working proficiency)
- You will also be an excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with new individuals, listening to needs and quickly build relationships
- Organisation is key, and you will be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast and methodical manner
- Previous exposure to CRM or Business Software (I.e. HubSpot, Salesforce, ZoomInfo) is really useful, but as long as you bring computer literacy (Outlook, Word etc) everything is coachable

- This opportunity is likely best suited to someone with energy and passion looking to progress their early-sales career, or an individual with technical knowledge of Diagnostics/Genomics looking to make a move into sales. Based upon the territories you will support, you should be confident working and communicating in German
- This will be a field based role working remotely in Germany. Ideally you will be in proximity to colleagues in Frankfurt and Munich but will consider candidates remotely across anywhere within the territory
- Reporting into the Senior Manager - EMEA Field Marketing, you will play a crucial role in the sales process by prospecting, qualifying, and generating opportunities to support the overall growth of the business. This is an opportunity to grow and develop from a top of thunnel sales role into a field based executive role overtime
- Generate new sales opportunities through inbound management and outbound outreach (calls, email, use of Salesforce CRM and other enablement software)
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market and identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services
- Developing sales outreach strategies to draw in potential buyers or to solicit new potential customers
- Creating relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales
- Presenting product information to customers once you have identified their needs
- Partner with Field Sales Executives, providing them with a volume of qualified leads to drive through to successful sales opportunities

Our take
Though health and genetic data are increasingly available in large quantities to healthcare providers, it can be very difficult to gain insights from them. Data processing is a significant bottleneck, and important information which could be vital to a patient's health can easily be overlooked or misinterpreted. SOPHiA GENETICS has developed a SaaS platform which seeks to change this by processing raw data received from partner institutions. It then returns a standardised report which can be actioned by the end user. The platform learns from this process, becoming more capable the more data it receives.
The global healthcare AI market is thriving, with numerous large competitors in the sector such as Welltok, iCarbonX and IBM (Watson Health). However, SOPHiA's USP is its democratization of health data. It has continually worked closely with a variety of healthcare providers, each using different instruments and providing non-standardized data. While this was initially a hurdle, once overcome, it has become a strength, allowing the platform to engage with the equipment a healthcare provider has rather than requiring a particular inventory.
SOPHiA went public in 2021 and, since then, has pursued collaborations with institutions and companies that focus on cancer screening and diagnostics. In 2025, the company launched advanced MRD tracking capabilities, further innovating in the oncology space. With these cutting-edge tools, SOPHiA strengthens its leadership in data-driven medicine, paving the way for more personalized healthcare.
