Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong expertise in GCP, including organization/folder structure, networking, compute, load balancing, and IAM
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform)
- Proven track record of designing and operating scalable, reliable cloud systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical understanding
- Experience in high-growth, fast-moving technology companies, preferably in SaaS or CCaaS
Desirable
- Experience base image management, and automated upgrades
- Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud infrastructure
- Comfort working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams
What the job involves
- Lead UJET’s Core Infrastructure team and shape the backbone of our cloud-native CCaaS platform
- You’ll drive the strategy and execution for GCP orgs, networking, compute, base images, Terraform frameworks, and upgrades. Building scalable, reliable infrastructure that empowers all engineering teams and impacts millions of users
- Lead and grow the Core Infrastructure team, setting vision, priorities, and execution for foundational cloud services
- Own the design, deployment, and operation of shared cloud primitives: GCP orgs & folders, networking, load balancers, compute, base images, Terraform frameworks, and upgrades
- Define and enforce best practices for scalability, security, observability, and maintainability across the cloud platform
- Partner with product and engineering teams to enable fast, safe, and reliable development and deployment workflows
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, automation, and infrastructure reliability
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and technical excellence
