Who you are

Experience developing threat hunting or threat intelligence products
Excellent communication skills in English to ensure the seamless flow of information within the remote team. Timely and transparent communication about any obstacles for quick resolutions
Backend tech stack includes Javascript/Typescript(or other modern programming languages), as well as relational databases and event processing platforms
Eager to understand our product landscape which is mainly developed in Node.js
Very good in writing clean, understandable code in a team environment. Prioritize code quality and maintainability over individual ego
Open to give and receive feedback, committed to continuous improvement through collaborative code reviews

Desirable

Worked with Security Analysts or Threat Hunters in the past and understand how to meet their needs in your work
4 years experience developing backend with Node.js
Hands-on experience with: Kafka, NSQ, InfluxDB, MongoDB, and Clickhouse
Familiar with AWS, Docker, and Git Version Control

What the job involves

As our Backend Software Engineer you work remotely with our engineering team based in the EU and take ownership from day one by working independently while being an effective communicator
In this role, you report to the Tech Lead of our Data Services team and work closely with other engineering teams to contribute to the success of our company
By taking responsibility and contributing your own ideas, you bring our products to the next level
Contribute to architectural decisions to implement our new threat intelligence analytics platform
Develop both proof-of-concept and production-level technology to provide useful and timely security insights to customers
Collaborate with other teams to integrate our data and intelligence services into the landscape of our abuse-handling services
Develop (new and existing) high-throughput data processing systems that support our threat intelligence products
Improve our existing data-processing systems and internal APIs to gather and classify internet abuse and threat intelligence information
Implement new backend systems based on requirements for new functionalities for our latest products
Our tech stack: JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Kafka, Postgres, NSQ, Redis, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
