Role
Who you are
- Proven Experience: 12+ years of B2B marketing experience with a focus on enterprise demand, including at least 4 years of team leadership
- Builder and scaler: You know how to take an existing foundation, identify what is working, and build the systems, capabilities, and team required to scale it. You move fluidly between setting the strategy and getting into the details needed to make it successful, with a strong bias toward data, experimentation, and measurable outcomes
- Enterprise expert: You understand how to create demand within complex enterprise accounts and orchestrate Marketing, Sales, BDRs, and Partnerships around high-value opportunities
- Vertical fluency: You know how to build deep domain knowledge, uncover unique buyer pain points, and translate those insights into effective campaign strategies
- Data-driven mindset: High data literacy with hands-on experience using marketing analytics and tools to track full-funnel performance and optimize ROI
- Talent Builder: You have a track record of leading demand gen teams and know how to create clarity, accountability, and evolve an organization as the business grows
- Adyen Formula: You have a builder mentality and operate with high autonomy, direct communication, and speed. You balance this bias for action with a low-ego mindset, actively seeking diverse perspectives and prioritizing collective team wins over individual ones
- Must be available to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%

- Shape our GTM strategy: Partner with Marketing, Sales, BDR, and Partnerships leaders to translate business priorities into integrated, verticalized GTM plans
- Accelerate enterprise ABM: Evolve our ABM strategy and capabilities to create and accelerate demand across accounts, verticals, and buying groups
- Measure and optimize: Use data, market insights, and campaign performance to identify new avenues for growth, determine where to invest or scale back, and develop new demand generation motions where needed
- Lead and develop the team: Build and develop a high-performing team, strengthening its operating model, strategic capabilities, and talent
- Establish the operating model: Collaborate with events and integrated marketers to establish clear planning, measurement, forecasting, and accountability across verticals and programs
- Scale marketing excellence: Synthesize and share campaign learnings, frameworks, and best practices to continuously raise the bar for demand generation within the region and globally

Our take
Adyen has been one of the most successful businesses in Europe over the last decade. When it went public in 2018 at a valuation of €7 billion, it raised over €1 billion and its share price popped on the first day, resulting in a valuation of €14 billion. And its valuation has continued to climb in the years since.
Adyen competes with large players like PayPal, as well as outsized startups like Stripe, to power payments and provide other infrastructure to conduct digital transactions. Disrupters in the field have been buoyed by a strong rise in eCommerce activity, where some or all of a transaction by a customer is made either online or by mobile.
Adyen has been one of the companies riding the wave by helping interested businesses to choose and then implement online payments - without the usual hoops to step through. Notable partners have included Autocanteen, a touchless self-checkout solution for the hospitality industry, and BILL, a small business-focused fintech platform.
