Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in sales development or a related role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position within a startup organization managing EMEA & APAC regions
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field
- Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales development targets and quotas
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with CRM and sales technology
What the job involves
- The Sr. Manager, Sales Development will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and expanding our sales development team in EMEA, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads to support our sales organization.
- In addition, matrix-manage the APAC SDR team alongside our VP of Sales (APAC)
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs)
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and provide coaching and mentorship to drive team performance
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Develop and execute a sales development strategy to generate high-quality leads
- Define targets, quotas, and performance metrics for the team
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment
- Oversee lead generation efforts, including outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, and market research
- Implement lead scoring and routing processes to optimize lead quality
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Streamline sales development processes to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Continuously assess and improve lead qualification and outreach methods
- Implement sales technology and tools to enhance team performance
- Create reports and dashboards to track and analyze sales development KPIs
- Provide regular performance updates to senior management
- Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment in lead management
- Act as a liaison between sales development and other departments
- Share insights, feedback, and recommendations with relevant stakeholders
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales development team
- Keep team members informed of industry trends, best practices, and product knowledge
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
