Application Security Engineering Intern, Okta

• The most important quality we are looking for is someone who has an “evil bit” - an innate ability to think and operate like an attacker while solving complex problems with expertise and creativity
• (In progress) Bachelor's in Engineering with a Computer Focus, Computer Science or equivalent (May 2026 Grad)
• Able to read code for and code applications in one of the following: Java, C#, Go, Javascript

• We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team in one of our key office location: Dublin,Ireland
• Application Security Engineers are responsible for conducting security reviews on all of Okta’s products
• This goes from code reviews, penetration tests, and architectural reviews on new features and existing code to provide security education and guidance to the entire organization
• Working with the team to secure both cloud-based and on-prem products
• Identifying potential vulnerabilities, helping to validate security findings and documenting results of testing
• Assisting the team in building and maintaining infrastructure and scripts used to conduct day-to-day testing activities
• Helping to provide support to customers, product and engineering teams with respect to security questions and concerns
• As an intern, you’ll do real work that matters
• While you’re on board, you’ll work on meaningful projects and have an opportunity to see what working at Okta is all about
• You’ll also have the support of your mentor and manager to help you develop new skills
