Role
Who you are
- 6–8 years of integration/automation experience, with hands-on Workato and Boomi
- 4–6 years building and managing APIs (API Gateway, OAuth/SAML/JWT) and SFTP-based file transfers
- 2+ years supporting Legal systems integrations (CLM, e-signature, matter management, compliance/e-discovery)
- 1–2 years building AI Agents/Skills in Workato Genie, including prompt engineering and IDP
- 1+ year building or deploying MCP servers
- 3–4 years scripting in Ruby, Python, JavaScript, or similar for custom connectors and recipe logic
- Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Git-based version control
Desirable
- Familiarity with enterprise systems (Salesforce, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow)
- CI/CD experience for Workato recipe deployment
- Workato Automation Pro certification or equivalent
- Legal tech knowledge (contract data models, GDPR/SOC 2 compliance)
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Workato/Boomi Integration Engineer to build and support enterprise automation, with a focus on Legal systems integration (CLM, e-signature, matter management, compliance)
- You'll work across iPaaS, APIs, and AI/agentic tooling (Workato Genie, AI Skills, MCP servers) to connect Legal and other business systems
- Design and build Recipes and process automations across multiple systems, including AI-powered workflows using Workato Genie and MCP servers
- Build and support AI Agents (Genies) for Legal and business-process automation, including prompt design and IDP for unstructured Legal content (contracts, filings)
- Design and manage secure API endpoints (REST/SOAP) and SFTP connections; build ETL/data-sync pipelines across formats (JSON, XML, CSV, EDI)
- Deploy and manage On-Premises Agents (OPA) for secure, behind-firewall connectivity
- Maintain platform environments and security (RBAC, SSO, versioning); monitor jobs and troubleshoot failures
- Build employee-facing tools (Workbot/ChatOps, Workflow/AgentX Apps, Slack integrations) with human-in-the-loop steps
- Integrate business applications (CRM, HR, Finance, LMS, Legal, Budget & Forecast) via Boomi, with emphasis on Legal, Financial, and Supply Chain integrations
- Write and optimize SQL/PL-SQL and custom scripts (Java/Groovy/JavaScript/Python); manage code via Git/GitHub; provide production support and on-call as needed
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into working integrations
Our take
Lyft has aimed for consistent growth, making sure to pitch itself as a more reliable and friendly ride-sharing option than its main competitor, Uber. Uber has a greater market share and operates globally, but Lyft hopes to compete by its focus on ride-sharing over Uber's more diversified business approach and as a more rider-friendly and greener alternative to Uber.
Operating only in the USA and Canada, Lyft is in a position of being less affected by global events than Uber but also more vulnerable to local conditions. As an example, while it doesn't face the regulatory hurdles around employment rights that Uber does, it is unable to balance out the cost of the unusually expensive US auto insurance across its operations.
In 2022, Lyft acquired PBSC Urban Solutions, a bike-share equipment and technology supplier, allowing Lyft to compete in new verticals and reaffirming its commitment to green transportation. It has also trialled and launched Lyft Assisted, where drivers help passengers from their door into the car to get to medical appointments. These developments chime well with Lyft's unique selling point as a friendlier and more environmentally aware ride-sharing app, whilst the acquisition of European competitor Freenow could add 6 million new riders to its platform in 2026.
