Role
Who you are
- 3-6 years of proven tech marketing experience in product marketing, GTM, or a closely related role
- You've played a key part of a launch system that drove real impact. One that balanced product velocity, customer awareness and adoption, and a real respect for customer time and bandwidth. You can speak to the specifics
- You're obsessed with AI upside. You currently use AI to move faster without sacrificing accuracy. You have ideas brewing on using AI in a GTM program that you're excited to apply here
- You have a strong and novel POV on what GTM looks like as AI compresses engineering time and the product roadmap accelerates. You have a strong POV on enabling customer-facing teams without "one more training session" as the crutch
- You are highly organized and use workflows to keep your finger on every pulse that matters. You've either partnered closely with Enablement OR personally owned enablement work for customer-facing teams. You know how to make Sales, CS, and Support confident on what shipped
- You are a world-class communicator who presents and writes in a precise, compelling style. You're comfortable switching from "must-be-understood" customer comms to "rally the enthusiasm" internal comms, and every style in between
What the job involves
- Build and run our launch system: clear logic for which releases reach customers, and how each one lands with a done-for-you base that expects results from Owner, not endless emails
- Own launch success and adoption metrics for releases that require real customer action (e.g., releases a customer has to set up, configure, or use proactively). Set the bar, instrument the work, iterate until it lands
- Run a cadence customers can rely on to stay current. E.g., regular customer newsletters, feature release sessions (working toward Shopify Editions caliber), and the in-product moments in between
- Execute launches end to end across all marketing channels, in-product surfaces, case studies, Guru, and Support content, so the work doesn't fragment across our teams
- Ladder case studies and proof points to Owner's platform story, so launches connect to the bigger picture rather than landing as one-off feature blasts. (In other words, Owner is more than the sum of its features, help customers understand that as the product grows.)
- Partner with Enablement to build rolling adoption programs across Sales, CS, and Support that keep customer-facing teams current, without leaning on "one more training" as the answer
- Sit with Product from the earliest stage (scoping new functionality), so go-to-market and messaging are considered before even one line of code is written. Do not expect this role to be "launch bolted on at the end"

- Product (PRD-stage partnership so GTM is in the spec)
- Enablement (your closest partner for keeping customer-facing teams current)
- All customer-facing teams across the funnel: Sales, CS, and Support
- Customer Marketing, Growth Marketing, Community, and Brand/Events (the channels and moments customers see)

Our take
The Pandemic caused a major upheaval in the US restaurant industry. Smaller operations struggled to stay afloat amidst brick-and-mortar closures, and as the demand for home delivery soared their margins were tightened further by hefty third-party delivery app charges. Add to that the fact that consumers become customers of the delivery app, not the restaurant itself, and it’s a development that has spelt real trouble for independent locales. Owner has set out to level the playing field.
Owner’s platform provides independent restaurants with the infrastructure they need to take control of their business without deferring to third-party apps like GrubHub and Deliveroo. It offers marketing, online ordering, and support solutions to over 10,000 restaurants across the U.S. The company has taken impressive first strides, too: they have a 7 figure run-rate, over 105% monthly revenue retention, and helped restaurants avoid millions in online order platform fees.
It’s a hugely attractive proposition for independent business owners, and research suggests it’s a winning idea for consumers too. Over 60% say they’d prefer to deal with restaurants directly, but historically the infrastructure simply hasn’t been in place to do so. With Owner seeing impressive traction by tripling its customers between 2023 and 2024, it's unsurprising that its 2025 funding is being channelled into engineering and design teams, alongside the development of new tools.
