Who you are
- Rising seniors enrolled in a CS or STEM degree program who are looking to intern at a fast paced, SaaS company this summer
- Passionate problem solvers who thrive in fast-moving environments

- Eager learners who want to gain real-world engineering experience
- Attention to details - who can spot the smallest inconsistencies
- Passion for web applications, from the data layer to the front-end
- Working familiarity with RDBMS storage systems and SQL
- Experience with a web application framework (Express.js, Ruby/Rails, Django, Flask, or other)
- An understanding of HTML, JavaScript and Typescript
- Strong communication & problem-solving abilities
- Excitement to learn, grow & build
Desirable
- Testing Methodologies and Test Automation Frameworks
- Playwright with Typescript
- Demonstrated leadership skills developed during your college experience
What the job involves
- Backed by Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and some of the country’s leading Multiple Listing Services (MLSs), Perchwell builds next generation workflow software/data products for the multi-trillion dollar residential real estate industry
- Perchwell is the first new entrant to come to market in decades and is currently scaling its best-in-class platform
- Build & Ship: Work in a fast-paced startup environment to build high-quality SaaS products that real estate professionals rely on
- Own a Project: Take ownership of a summer project—making key product, architecture, and implementation decisions from the Testing Perspective
- Collaborate & Learn: Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers to bring ideas to life
- Deliver Impact: Work on scalable solutions from broadly defined problems and see your work in production
- Dedicated Mentor: You’ll work 1:1 with an experienced engineer who will provide mentorship and support your growth
- Real Ownership: Over 10 weeks (early June–mid August), you will lead your own project—making key decisions along the way
- You’ll collaborate closely with our team, gaining hands-on experience in a fast paced, learning oriented environment
- Help drive Quality of our products by implementing robust and scalable automated test solutions with Playwright and TypeScript
- Showcase Your Work: At the end of the summer, present your project to our executive & engineering teams
- Internship Dates: June 2, 2025 - August 8, 2025

Our take
The real estate industry was initially slow to get on the tech-drive, but the last few years have seen a groundswell of demand from professionals for tools that allow them to save time and labor doing the “background” work that leads to closing transactions. Perchwell’s end-to-end workflow platform capitalises on this.
Its services allow real estate agents, mortgage brokers and multiple listing services (MLSs) to more easily manage distributed data, access market research and work with clients via one API. Perchwell launched in 2015 and showed encouraging growth in New York City, eventually winning the custom of the Real Estate Board of New York, as well as major private companies like Sotheby’s.
Founded in New York, Perchwell received $25 million from Multiple Listing Service company REcolorado in 2024, after expanding the former's customer base to REcolorado clients in 2022. The aim for Perchwell now is accelerating the growth of its customer base, whilst developing its AI data and workflow capabilities for real estate agents.
