Role
Who you are
- As the founding member of our professional services function this is a very unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about driving value with data and has the experience to lead complex change projects within organizations
- Have a passion for using data to drive real business impact
- Have 3-5 years in consulting or experience implementing change in organisations inc. senior stakeholder management
- Have strong analytical skills including data modelling, data analysis and storytelling
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies
- Have strong project management skills and experience running small client-facing teams
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport with people
What the job involves
- Count offers data teams a new way to work with their wider business, moving them from being a support function to an engine of growth
- As Count’s first consulting hire you will be at the heart of defining and implementing this new operating model into our most strategic customers to maximise the value they receive
- In addition you will be working with the rest of the Count team to share learnings and help establish a corpus of best practice that we can share with our other customers and the wider data community
- Establishing our professional services function: Defining the proposition and core value proposition of our professional services function and making sure it becomes a profitable revenue stream for Count which also delivers lasting and significant ROI for our customers
- Running client engagements: Supporting the implementation and training of the Count platform in our most strategic customers and coaching their data team in growth model mapping, problem solving and continuous improvement processes across their business
- Defining best practice: Work with customers and the wider Count team to create a corpus of best practice methodologies, examples and tutorials
- Building a network: Build a network of other service providers and consultancies to share learnings and help them learn how to implement Count at their existing clients
Application process
- An initial conversation so you can ask any questions you have about Count and we can learn more about your experience and interests
- A working session with our CEO and CRO
- A final meeting with our CTO, Head of Customer Success and the wider team
- The working session and final meeting will take place either virtually or in London, depending on where you're based
- During the first two months, you can expect to undergo a comprehensive training program to familiarize yourself with the Count platform, our methodology for data team value and meeting and working with our customers

Count is a technology startup that is setting out to solve this problem by building a next-generation SQL editor that provides SQL analysts with a modern analytical workflow.
Count enables data teams to find and share insights quickly, supercharging decision-making across their organisation. It provides a seamless workflow for SQL analysis, letting data teams explore their data in a reactive SQL notebook, collaborate in real-time and publish their results as beautiful, interactive data apps that their whole organisation can use.
Count's primary target audience is early-stage tech companies and has been steadily increasing its customer base since raising $2.4 million in seed funding in 2020. Though its team remains small, Count has been intermittently releasing updates to its platform to increase its clients' rates of data distribution. Count, then, evidently continues to remain proactive despite its period of relative quiet through the 2020s.
