Role
Who you are
- An advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Science, with a focus on marketing science and campaign evaluation
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods, causal inference techniques, and experimental design
- Experience working with large datasets and proficiency in SQL, R/Python, and data visualization tools. Strong command of SQL and a scripting language like Python or R. You are experienced in automating data processes and handling large-scale data analysis in distributed systems
- Experience developing time-series forecasts, leveraging models such as Prophet
- Experience in the gaming industry and/or multi-sided marketplaces
- Familiarity with key insights and communicating succinctly to Director+ leadership

- The Data Science & Analytics organization's mission is to increase our speed, frequency and acumen of making decisions at scale by instilling a data-influenced approach to building products
- We cover a wide area of the data spectrum including analytical data engineering, product analytics, experimentation, causal inference, statistical modeling and machine learning
- Aligned and partnering with product verticals, we use this extensive tool belt to discover new opportunities and unmet use cases, influence and shape the product roadmap and prioritization, build data products and measure impact on our community of players and developers
- As a Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist in our User group, you will be at the forefront of driving our understanding of user engagement. Improving user frequency is one of our top company initiatives
- By applying your expertise in data science, statistics, and causal inference, you will play a critical role in enhancing user growth strategies focused on frequency and retention growth
- You will collaborate cross-functionally to drive actionability and develop analytics frameworks and tooling solutions to inform our business outlook
- Conduct comprehensive analyses on user frequency using advanced statistical methods and data science techniques
- Identify key patterns and trends within our ecosystem to help drive user growth strategies
- Drive innovation within our existing data tooling and frameworks to support deeper and scalable insights into user engagement metrics
- Partner with leaders and provide clear, detailed, and actionable insights on frequency movements and their drivers
- Develop and refine hierarchical time series forecasting frameworks
