Role
Who you are
- Native (Brazilian) Portuguese speaker with deep understanding of local social media culture
- Proven track record creating viral/engaging Portuguese-language content
- 3+ years experience in content creation with demonstrated cultural impact
- Strong understanding of what makes content shareable in your market
- Ability to explain financial concepts in Portuguese in an engaging, accessible way
- Experience creating content that bridges local and global perspectives
- Comfortable being on camera and potentially becoming a key face of Wise
- Important note: We're seeking someone who can authentically connect with Portuguese-speaking audiences while understanding global financial trends. You should be comfortable being the face of Wise in locally-focused content while working from our London office
What the job involves
- We're looking for a native Portuguese-speaking Content Creator to join our Social Media team in Tallinn
- You'll be creating culturally relevant content that resonates with our Portuguese-speaking audience while being part of our global marketing tribe
- Your mission: Create engaging, authentic video content that captures the vibrancy and unique perspectives of our Portuguese-speaking community
- You'll craft stories across TikTok, and Instagram that maintain Wise's global brand voice while feeling locally authentic
- Create vertical video content that drives cultural connection
- Lead the ideation and production of content that taps into local trends and conversations
- Generate high-performing content that sparks engagement
- Stay current with regional social media trends, viral moments, and cultural movements
- Adapt global Wise messaging with cultural nuance and authenticity
- Work with Compliance to ensure content meets both local and global regulatory standards

Our take
Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.
Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. Its attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.
While the market is crowded with new entrants (think Revolut and Monzo) and traditional banks trying to catch up, Wise is still staying one step ahead having recently opened a new hub in India and new payment features as well as reporting a rise in key metrics on higher volume and customer growth. This continued growth positions the company well for continued success in the future.
