Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years of experience as a Sales Development Representative or in a quota bearing role with a verifiable track record of success and goal attainment
- A passion for using technology to reshape business outcomes
- Deep interest in software sales or other customer-facing positions as a career progression

- Excited to work a hybrid model with a minimum of 3 days per week in person with the team in Austin
What the job involves
- Mission: Drive quality prospect and expansion conversations at the top of the marketing funnel that convert into meaningful opportunities and pipeline for the sales team
- As a Sales Development Representative at KNIME, you will own top of funnel prospecting activities for the Marketing Organization. Partnering closely with Sales, you will look to start and qualify initial conversations with top prospects from MQLs and Targeted Account Outreach with the goal of creating qualified pipeline for KNIME
- Understand KNIME’s target buyer personas and their pain points
- Ownership of outreach and engagement to KNIME’s Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)
- Perform research into target prospect accounts and existing customer accounts to understand where KNIME will have the most impact within an organization
- Conduct outreach across multiple channels (email, phone, social, etc) with the goal of engaging prospects in initial conversations for sales
- Run initial qualification on prospect calls to determine readiness for sales
- Creating a set number of qualified opportunities per month and quarter for KNIME by leveraging MQLs, cold prospect outreach, and expansion from within KNIME’s current customer base
- The Sales Development Representative position sits within KNIME’s marketing department and reports directly to the Director of Revenue Development

- Consistent attainment or over-attainment of set company KPIs and monthly/quarterly goals
- A collaborative relationship with Marketing and Sales - providing frequent feedback about what’s working, current needs, and the ability to quickly iterate strategies based on what we are seeing and hearing
- A culture of continuous experimentation in the ever-changing world of Sales Development - what worked yesterday won’t work tomorrow!

A 2024 growth equity investment from INVUS will be channelled into reaching new markets with its cloud analytics platform. Interestingly, though there was interest from other VCs, the company says it chose this partnership because it would not change the company's focus or open source philosophy.
