Role

Who you are

7+ years in enterprise sales, with 3+ years selling professional services or outcome-based deals in data & analytics (migrations, modernization, data engineering)
A track record of closing $250K–$1M+ deals and hitting a personal quota of $3M+
Strong co-sell relationships with Databricks, Snowflake, or hyperscaler field teams
Technical enough to scope a migration with a data engineering lead, and polished enough to sit in front of a CIO
Self-starter with a builder mentality — we have a motion that works, and you'll help define how it scales in your region
Based in the Eastern or Central US

What the job involves

Datafold is hiring a senior Account Executive to own new business across the Eastern and Central US. This is a high-ownership, partner-led role
You'll sell a product where the outcome — a completed migration, on time, at a fixed price — is the contract. That's a fundamentally different conversation from traditional software sales, and it requires someone who can earn trust at both the technical and executive levels simultaneously
You will build and run your own pipeline through our data platform partnerships, own the full sales cycle from first call to signed contract, and work closely with our Forward Deployed Engineers to ensure a seamless handoff and customer experience
Own the full sales cycle for new logos across the Eastern and Central US: discovery, technical qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close
Build and develop pipeline through our partner ecosystem (Databricks, Snowflake, GCP, dbt, Microsoft), including field co-sell, joint account planning, and partner-sourced introductions
Run compelling discovery and value conversations with both data engineering leaders and executive buyers (VP/CTO level)
Collaborate with Forward Deployed Data Engineers to scope migration projects, build SOWs, and set customer expectations on delivery
Represent Datafold at partner events, field meetups, and customer briefings across the US
Feed market and competitive intelligence back into product and GTM — you are close to customers and partners; your input shapes how we evolve

Our take

Data engineering has gone from a buzzword to a mission-critical function in a modern company - that’s resulted in a $2bn data reliability industry that will only continue to grow.

Datafold meets this pressing need with a suite of tools that tackle the most tedious, error-prone and repetitive tasks faced by data engineers. That is, unlike most existing data quality tools, Datafold catches data quality issues before they occur, not once the companies’ services have broken down.

The company is focused on expanding its toolset and enabling even more seamless integrations to onboard more customers. The goal is to be seen as part of a package alongside leading vendors like Snowflake, Databricks, bdt, etc.

Datafold’s product has received praise from enterprise leaders in this emerging field, but the company is facing competition from other venture-backed startups going after the same market. Some, from the ground up, with open-source tools like Great Expectations. Fortunately, there’s room for all to grow for now.
