- You have a strong interest in technology, a problem solving mindset and clear, empathetic communication (essential)
- You’re organised, proactive, friendly and confident engaging with people across the business (essential)
- You’re happy to work 2–3 days a week from our Edinburgh office to support colleagues in person (essential)
- You’ve had exposure to Microsoft 365 - Azure AD, Entra, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive (desirable)
- You’ve used Jamf or other endpoint management (e.g., Intune) and understand the basics (desirable)
- You’ve used Jira Service Management or similar ticketing systems and/or the Atlassian suite (desirable)

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Junior IT support analyst to join our TechOps team, reporting to the Senior IT support analyst. This role will help us deliver outstanding IT support to Seccl staff as we continue to scale
- Our TechOps team sits within Engineering and underpins Seccl’s modern workplace. It’s a fast moving, collaborative environment with plenty of variety, from supporting joiners, movers and leavers, to managing the Mac device lifecycle and SaaS admin. You’ll quickly build hands on experience with the latest tech
- Act as the first point of contact for internal IT queries, owning triage and providing first contact resolution where possible
- Meet first response SLAs and keep colleagues updated on ticket progress through clear, friendly communication
- Support the joiner / mover / leaver process, from equipment provisioning and account setup to access changes and deactivation, maintaining an accurate IT asset register
- Keep endpoints compliant with our security standards in a Mac first environment
- Use our ticketing tools (e.g., Jira Service Management) and suggest pragmatic improvements to workflows and automation
- Be a friendly face for TechOps, especially on busy office days - helping new starters settle in and resolving day-to-day issues quickly
Application process
- Interviewing is a two-way process. Our interviews are conversational, with plenty of time for you to get to know us and ask questions too:
- Screening call - 20 mins initial chat with one of our Talent team
- First stage – 45 mins competencies-based interview with the hiring manager and IT support analyst
- Second stage – one hour technical interview or assessment with the hiring manager and the Senior TechOps manager
- We review applications as they come in and may close the role once we have enough candidates to move forward. We’ll keep you updated throughout
Our take
Seccl is an embedded investment platform revolutionising how companies offer investment services. With its API-first technology infrastructure, it helps financial professionals and businesses launch and manage investment platforms easily. By simplifying old, clunky processes, Seccl gives firms the tools they need to offer customers a seamless, digital investing experience - whether it's for financial advisers, neobanks, or fast-growing startups.
Since being acquired by Octopus in 2019, Seccl has seen impressive growth. Now supporting over 1 million investors, it manages more than £6 billion in funds through its platform. With this, Seccl is well on track to power even more businesses, and as it continues to grow, its mission to disrupt the industry with smarter, scalable solutions is only growing in momentum.
