To help the world find peace & purpose through prayer & meditation, and to help us all build deeper and more meaningful relationships with God.
Bringing the mechanics of wellness and meditation apps into the religious market, Hallow is a Roman Catholic prayer app that offers guided prayers, prayer routine management, and social media tools for followers of the Roman Catholic faith.
Though its market is limited to Roman Catholics specifically, Hallow has set itself up as a public benefit corporation, a savvy move that will help it keep afloat whilst growing its audience. With both startup and faith-based advisors helping its McKinsey & Company alum founders navigate a complex market position, Hallow has seen staggering funding awarded since its 2018 launch, helping it to expand its services and features.
Hallow’s celebrity-guided prayers have included a number of controversial figures facing allegations of racism and fraud, but this hasn’t stopped the company from beating the likes of Netflix, Spotify, and Instagram in the top 10 most downloaded apps on the App Store. Over Lent in 2023, it saw more than a million prayers a day using its app, indicating that its popularity is only growing.
