- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of experience working with a CPG retailer on a sales team
- 3-5 years of analytical + business experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Google Docs
- Experience with Metabase, Power BI, Upclear Blue Planner, Atlas, Syndigo, JD Edwards or equivalent systems
- Strong analytical skills and a creative approach to problem solving
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship management skills
What the job involves
- We have kicked off a search for a Sales Planning Analyst. This role will develop, implement, and administer Honest's sales analytics using your experience working on a retail sales team
- You will bring your knowledge of working with a retailer to internal cross-functional partners, to enable leaders to reach company goals and objectives
- You’ll be a key player on the Sales Team, supporting Sales Operations, Sales Planning and Field Sales in their key initiatives
- You will also help with the execution of those initiatives with cross-functional partners to achieve organizational goals
- You’re the right person for the job if you have experience working on a retail sales team, consumer-first, work independently, equally analytical and entrepreneurial, able to be scrappy, flexible and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment
- Use your direct retailer-facing experience to provide guidance and insights that meet retail team and internal sales team needs
- Provide customer facing setup support including, WERC’s, Syndigo GDSN, IXONE, and Top 3 Customer portal updates as needed
- Trade Management System (Upclear Blue Planner) super user and report owner
- Leads the team in usage of the tool including baseline input, forecast input, and assortment management
- Experience with Demand Planning systems that use Trade Management data
- Delivers data driven insights and customized reporting to inform trade investment decisions
- Leads the Power BI reporting space that Blueplanner provides for advanced analytics
- Uses PowerPoint, Excel, Metabase, Power BI and Upclear data to present actionable insights to the sales trade and planning team, to aid in achieving yearly goals
- Supports the sales team and the organization with training and support on released updates in the trade management tool
- Works with sales, IT and Upclear to resolve any identified issues, updates or process challenges. Identifies and presents process changes leveraging data analytics
- Onboards and keeps the sales team updated on all reports they receive or use (Hubble, Meta base, Crossfunctional Reports)
- Builds reports in Meta Base to support critical analysis and decision making
- Manages report suite for the sale team, including updates to current reports and publication of data
- Co-Lead as Project Analyst of the New Customer Launch & Setup process
- Co-Lead as Project Analyst of the Current Customer Needs Project Call
- Supports the sales team with sku discontinuation and transition communications
- Leads the organization of the sales team Box folder and Retail Spot light slack channel
- Creates, maintains critical folders and spaces in the Sales Central box location. Archives and organizes information as needed
- Backup to the Pricing & Trade Analyst (Critical daily duties only)

The Honest Company was founded in 2012 by Jessica Alba with the simple idea to create everyday products that are safer, gentler, and more transparent about what goes into them. The brand built its reputation on "clean" personal care - things like baby products, skincare, and household items made without any of the harsh chemicals. Because of this approach, it quickly gained popularity with families looking for a trusted, easy-to-understand product.
Over time, Honest has grown into a well-known name in baby and personal care, with products designed for both kids and adults. Its lotions, shampoos and wipes are especially popular for being mild and easy on sensitive skin. In a fun and unexpected moment, even astronauts have taken notice, during the Artemis II mission, astronaut Christina Koch mentioned missing Honest's lotion while in space, showing just how widely love the brand has become.
The company has been going through a bit of a reset though, deciding to step back from selling directly to customers online, choosing instead to focus on retail partnerships and wholesale. This shift is part of a larger plan to cut costs and simplify the business after slower growth. While it means less direct control over how customer shop the brand, it should help Honest become more profitable and focused, leaning into what it does best while relying on big retail partners to drive scale in the future.
