Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in governance, operations, project management, or business analysis
- Previous experience in the payments, fintech, or financial services industry is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance practices in financial operations
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with project management and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- High attention to detail and ability to synthesise complex information into actionable insights
What the job involves
- Our team is growing, and we are looking for a motivated and innovative Governance Analyst who will lead and play a key role in supporting the Senior Manager of Operations in executing governance frameworks, compliance tracking, and cross-functional initiatives
- This role is essential for ensuring consistent alignment with internal controls, operational standards, and strategic goals across the organisation
- The successful candidate will also contribute to the delivery of special projects that improve operational efficiency and accountability within PayRetailers
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of governance frameworks and processes across Operations
- Track and report on operational KPIs and SLA adherence, highlighting risks or deviations
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering cross-functional special projects related to business optimisation and strategic initiatives
- Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, summarising progress, challenges, and mitigation plans
- Monitor policy and process compliance, and support internal audits or assessments as needed
- Collaborate with different departments (Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, etc.) to ensure operational alignment with corporate governance standards
- Maintain accurate documentation, including workflows, policies, and project plans in Confluence or other knowledge management platforms
