Who you are

What the job involves
- As a Product Designer at FACEIT you will - own your design journey across two high-impact teams!
- You’ll play a pivotal role in both our Growth team, thriving on constant iteration and experimentation, and our Shop team, where you’ll help shape a brand new and exciting roadmap for the year ahead
- Your work will shape, fuel, and redefine how players discover their next adventure on FACEIT
- Partner closely with product and engineering partners to define product experience for new features
- Understand user flows and pain points, and produce, test and iterate on high-quality designs to solve user needs
- Ideation & Sketching: Brainstorming and exploring different design solutions through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes
- Prototyping: Building low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes to test and iterate on design solutions with users and for internal communication
- Usability testing: Identify issues and iterate. Ensure the product is usable and useful
- Visual design: Creating the visual look and feel of the product, ensuring UI design follows our branding, typography, and system
- Presentation & Storytelling: Effectively communicating design decisions and rationale to stakeholders and team members
- Design system contribution: Refine and update design components to ensure consistency across the product

Young people are increasingly turning away from traditional media, and gaming has in recent years become a professional spectator sport that draws huge online crowds. FACEIT is a competitive gaming platform that allows developers to run their own online tournaments, providing ranking charts, skill-based matchmaking and anti-cheat software to ensure that these events are as fair as any traditional sporting competition.
The esports market is projected to be worth about £4.5 billion globally by 2030, and FACEIT has attracted large scale investments as it continues to innovate in this market. Not all of its moves have panned out - for instance its foray into crypto gaming in 2022 could have come at a better time, but its pivot to non-intrusive in-game advertising has been well received by developers and is a testament to the adaptability of the company.
FACEIT is continuing to release and support new gaming products, for instance a car racing tournament released in colloboration with RENNSPORT, where established esports teams and car manufacturers will compete for a prize pool of €500,000. An Overwatch tournament launched in 2024 with a cash prize pool of $170,000. As the esports market shows no sign of slowing down, FACEIT will remain in a strong position to grow alongside it.
