Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of legal experience, either at a law firm or in-house legal team
- Sales or customer-facing experience, including legal business development and/or secondment, is a plus, as is experience directly managing law firm client matters and client relationships
- Outstanding presentation skills to both legal and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos
- Have a "do what it takes" attitude. You're willing to dive into problems and solve them yourself — you won't have anyone to delegate to
- You are excited about the adventure of building a company and want to be part of something early-stage
- Would describe yourself as being relentlessly resourceful
- You have a strong internal sense of urgency. You have a bias towards doing things today, rather than tomorrow
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Legal Engineer with a legal background to drive Ivo’s growth by engaging with law firms and in-house legal teams, becoming a trusted advisor on how Ivo’s solutions can enhance their effectiveness, demonstrating the value of our product, and guiding them in its successful implementation
- Being a champion of the product and advocating for Ivo at sales calls, customer onboarding calls, demos, webinars, events and conferences
- Lead product demonstrations tailored to the context of various in-house legal teams, asking questions to validate how Ivo can add value and then showcasing Ivo’s features and benefits relevant to each prospective client’s potential use cases
- Acting as a close and trusted advisor to our customers to help them integrate Ivo into their workflows and adopt best-in-class practices for scaling AI in their day-to-day work
- Implement (and oversee the implementation of) “Playbooks” for our prospects derived from their precedents, templates, and historical agreements
- Work closely with our engineers to improve the outputs of our models and with our designers to improve our UX / UI
- Act as the “Voice of the Customer,” using your legal perspective to help the broader sales team to develop and implement more effective strategies and synthesize customer feedback for the product team through a legal lens

An enterprise's contracts can be a key source of information to support better, faster decision-making, but extracting insights from them can be cumbersome due to their structure and complexity. One of Ivo's co-founders experienced this complexity first-hand, which is why the company was created to help streamline these workflows.
Whilst traditional contract workflows can slow down business, and even introduce more risk, Ivo's approach leverages AI to automate contract insights at scale. Its platform can review agreements, benchmark, uncover relationships between contracts, answer complex contract questions, and more.
Through this, Ivo reduces the workload for teams, so they can focus on actually creating value for the business. The platform is utilised by teams at IBM, Uber, Shopify and Canva, and the company has raised substantial funding to support accelerated product development and the building out of its team.
