Who you are
- In-depth product management experience, preferably in a technology or gaming environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels

What the job involves
- The Product team is responsible for overseeing each of the digital platform products, with the primary goal of creating transformational experiences for gamers on a global scale
- Their role involves strategizing and leading efforts to enhance the user experience and engagement across these products
- The purpose of the Senior Product Manager for Lobby is to help define and build the roadmap and user experience for our Lobby, Teams, and Lobby Finder features across FACEIT
- They will work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and product marketing to build a best-in-class “grouping together” experience for our players allowing them to find like-minded teammates, forge friendships, and compete as a team more often and consistently
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers, both existing and potential
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative user research to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences
- Lead in defining the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and supporting metrics required to deliver new features and experiences for Teams, Lobby, and Lobby Finder and closely align them with our Club features and wider “Community Platform” roadmap
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and product marketing to build experiences that delight users, including writing requirements, participating in team rituals and the like
- Drive projects, product, and feature launches within the team and with other teams across the Digital Platform
- Utilise data analytics to prioritize features, measure success, and iterate on product improvements
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing and receiving constructive feedback
Our take
Young people are increasingly turning away from traditional media, and gaming has in recent years become a professional spectator sport that draws huge online crowds. FACEIT is a competitive gaming platform that allows developers to run their own online tournaments, providing ranking charts, skill-based matchmaking and anti-cheat software to ensure that these events are as fair as any traditional sporting competition.
The esports market is projected to be worth about £4.5 billion globally by 2030, and FACEIT has attracted large scale investments as it continues to innovate in this market. Not all of its moves have panned out - for instance its foray into crypto gaming in 2022 could have come at a better time, but its pivot to non-intrusive in-game advertising has been well received by developers and is a testament to the adaptability of the company.
FACEIT is continuing to release and support new gaming products, for instance a car racing tournament released in colloboration with RENNSPORT, where established esports teams and car manufacturers will compete for a prize pool of €500,000. An Overwatch tournament launched in 2024 with a cash prize pool of $170,000. As the esports market shows no sign of slowing down, FACEIT will remain in a strong position to grow alongside it.
