Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate has experience setting and maintaining a high bar for incoming talent at a fast-paced, growing diagnostics company who has launched a commercial diagnostics product.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a high-growth start-up
- Must have experience leading a recruiting function at a medical diagnostics company specializing in the diagnostics space, with experience building commercial teams
- Proven track record of developing and fulfilling strategic recruiting plans
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Deep understanding of recruitment processes and candidate selection methods
- Proficiency with recruiting systems (Greenhouse, Gem, TalentWall)
- Experience working remotely, with high accountability and responsiveness
- Experience coaching hiring managers and helping them develop strategic recruiting plans
- Track record of thriving under pressure and deadlines
What the job involves
- BillionToOne is seeking an Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, Prenatal to champion the recruitment of top talent of oncology specialists in supporting our ambitious goals to be the first medical diagnostics company to be in the S&P 500.
- The Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, Prenatal is a remote position and will report to the Senior Director of People Operations
- Build a scalable recruiting function that attracts and identifies brilliant, passionate, and dedicated candidates to join the high-performing prenatal team
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience
- Manage the recruiting team to ensure best practices in candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection
- Partner with executive leadership to align recruitment initiatives with strategic business objectives
- Analyze recruitment trends and provide insights and recommendations to enhance talent acquisition efforts
- Promote the company culture and employer brand to position BillionToOne as an employer of choice
- Drive diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices to support a diverse workforce
- Budget management for recruitment activities and resources
Our take
BillionToOne is a precision diagnostics company. Its proprietary molecular counting platform (Quantitative Counting Templates) accurately counts DNA molecules at the single-count level, which has the ability to significantly improve disease detection. While initially focused on prenatal screening and oncological liquid biopsies, the company’s QTC technology is highly scalable and has the ability to make vast improvements to a range of disease detection verticals.
The company’s funding efforts will enable it to focus on further development and commercialization of its noninvasive prenatal screening test and oncology products. However, it will need to maintain a strategic outlook, prioritizing areas with higher testing frequencies in order to provide maximum patient benefit, while balancing test development costs.
