What the job involves
- We're seeking a Staff Graphic Designer to lead packaging and print collateral design that reflects our brand and resonates with our target audiences — across US and international markets
- You'll drive graphic language and strategy across product lines, ensuring consistency and quality across all deliverables while adapting designs for regional markets
- Reporting directly to the Director of Packaging Design, you'll work closely with other designers, regional teams, and production teams to create packaging solutions that are both visually compelling and strategically sound
- Design and Development: Lead the conceptualization and design of innovative packaging solutions, from initial concept through final production files, for both domestic and international markets. Create compelling designs and layouts that align with brand identity, consumer expectations, and shelf impact, while staying current on industry trends and emerging design techniques
- Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement packaging strategies that effectively communicate product benefits and differentiate on shelf across global markets
- International & Regional Collaboration: Partner with regional teams to design location-specific packaging and collateral, adapting layouts, imagery, and messaging to meet local market preferences, languages, and regulatory requirements while maintaining global brand consistency
- Production Management: Prepare and manage production files, including dielines, finishes, color, and print specifications, ensuring they meet technical and quality standards across different printers and regional production capabilities. Oversee the production process, including reviewing proofs and attending press checks, to guarantee accuracy and efficiency
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, supply chain, brand, and marketing teams — domestic and international — to ensure designs are feasible, on-brand, and aligned with business objectives. Present concepts and rationale clearly to internal stakeholders
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate with printers and packaging vendors, both domestic and international, to troubleshoot production issues and ensure design intent translates accurately to the final product
- Feedback & Revisions: Manage feedback loops, making timely, thoughtful adjustments to designs based on team input, regional stakeholder feedback, and consumer insights
- Project Management: Maintain timelines, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously — including parallel regional workstreams — with high attention to detail
Our take
Hims & Hers is a direct-to-consumer brand made for men and women, offering products for skin care, birth control, erectile dysfunction, hair loss and more. The company aims to create an open and honest culture of care that is accessible for everyone, no matter who you are or where you live.
Hims & Hers approach healthcare differently through a telemedicine approach combined with a comprehensive wholesale and branding strategy. This allows customers to get diagnosed and treated at a lower cost and with greater convenience whilst the company simultaneously increases customer brand's presence across the US.
The company is increasingly focused on becoming a modern healthcare brand, and has a huge addressable market to go after. The recent launch of an app has helped it grow significantly too. Further, its focusing investment into platform infrastructure and the development of partnerships with physical stores including retail giant Walmart, as well as continuing to launch new products such as its range of volumizing shampoos. Altogether, these moves put the brand in a good position for long-term growth as it looks to scale and evolve even further.
