Who you are
- Our ideal engineer is someone who has proven experience working closely with product teams to build user interfaces from zero to one
- You should be able to independently lead and architect complex frontend systems, but also deeply understand good backend API design and data models
What the job involves
- We’re seeking a full-stack engineer to join our fast-growing AI Decisioning team, where you’ll help develop an intuitive interface that enables non-technical users to easily engage with advanced ML and AI
- Architecting and building features end-to-end for a new generation of marketing and growth products
- Collaborating closely with customers and cross-functional partners—designers, product managers—to understand real-world behavior
- Working alongside ML engineers to surface insights that empower marketers to make confident decisions
- Looking ahead, AI and machine learning will be the foundation of a new operational paradigm in marketing. Some of the most interesting upcoming challenges for this team include:
- Building a deep analytics and observability platform to surface key marketing insights
- Integrating complex ML models into a highly interactive user interface
- Crafting intuitive interfaces for marketing and growth team to set up complex experiments

- Our technical interviews focus on how you design systems because we believe this is the best way for us to see how you work and for you to see how we collaborate. We don’t ask you to write code to solve technical brainteasers that don’t appear in your day to day job
- Recruiter Screen [30m]: Introductory call with our recruiting team to get to know each other and see if the role could be a good mutual fit
- System Design Interview [60m]: Designing a data processing feature end-to-end
- Frontend Interview [90m]: Work with **the interviewer to architect and build a complex frontend component
- Hiring Manager Interview [30m]: Chat with hiring manager about past experiences and future operating preferences to assess fit on company values and operating principles

The use of data integration software involves combining data from different sources to provide users with a unified view. Due to the growing need to combine several heterogeneous data sources, along with the rise of cloud computing, demand for effective data integration tools and services has been increasing.
While Fivetran is one of the most prominent platforms companies use to “extract, transform, and load” data into its warehouse, Hightouch does the opposite of that, what has become known as “reverse ETL.” For example, a company could use Fivetran to get the data into its warehouse and then use Hightouch to get the data from the warehouse and into Salesforce.
Hightouch serves a diverse range of clients, from B2B giants like Kong, Plaid, and Mattermost to B2C leaders like Nando's and Autotrader. With recent acquisitions including the product-led sales automation startup Workbase and the knowledge management startup Whatis, alongside an expanded partnership with Snowflake, Highlight continues to enhance its capabilities and provide seamless data activation for its growing customer base.
