Company mission
To increase developer velocity in machine learning by leading the way with simple, fast, innovative solutions.
Role
Who you are
- 5-7+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product marketing, solutions marketing, competitive intelligence, cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure, or related fields
- Deep expertise in AI infrastructure, GPU platforms, cloud computing, inference workloads, infrastructure performance benchmarking, or related technical domains
- Experience working at AI infrastructure companies, NeoCloud providers, GPU service providers, cloud platforms, or organizations closely aligned with NVIDIA ecosystems
- Demonstrated ability to independently create high-quality technical marketing assets with minimal direction. Strong understanding of infrastructure performance metrics, benchmarking methodologies, workload optimization, pricing models, and infrastructure economics
- Comfortable evaluating complex technical trade-offs and translating them into actionable market insights and competitive positioning
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, sales, and executive stakeholders. Highly self-directed and motivated by zero-to-one opportunities where processes, programs, and assets must be built from the ground up
- Excited by the opportunity to help define a category and shape market perception during a period of significant company growth and momentum
- Thrives as a hands-on individual contributor and enjoys owning outcomes directly rather than managing large teams
What the job involves
- Own the development of technical product marketing assets that support customer acquisition, sales execution, and market positioning, including battle cards, competitive analyses, pricing and performance comparisons, presentations, technical collateral, and field enablement materials
- Establish and maintain deep expertise in the AI infrastructure ecosystem, including NeoCloud providers, GPU cloud platforms, hyperscalers, and emerging AI infrastructure competitors
- Build clear, evidence-based competitive positioning that highlights Groq's differentiated approach to AI infrastructure and inference. Create and maintain technical demonstrations that showcase real-world performance, efficiency, scalability, and customer outcomes
- Partner closely with product, engineering, sales, solutions engineering, and executive leadership to translate technical innovations into customer-facing messaging and assets
- Develop frameworks for competitive intelligence, market analysis, and launch readiness that can scale with the business
- Analyze infrastructure economics, utilization models, pricing structures, benchmark results, and workload performance characteristics to support customer conversations and strategic decisionmaking
- Equip customer-facing teams with the tools, content, and insights needed to effectively position Groq against alternative AI infrastructure providers. Serve as an internal subject matter expert on AI infrastructure trends, competitive dynamics, customer evaluation criteria, and market developments. Help build the technical marketing function from the ground up
Our take
Groq is an exciting semiconductor startup focused on creating advanced chips designed specifically for AI applications. It emerged as a challenger to Nvidia's dominance, by focusing on speed and efficiency for AI deployment.
While Nvidia's GPUs handle both training and running AI models, Groq's LPUs are optimized for inference tasks. This is the execution phase of AI, where outputs are generated after the model is trained. This sharp focus enabled Groq to generate both interest and investment, which has fuelled scaling and deployment efforts.
Playing a significant role in the AI chip market, Groq has partnered with companies like Meta and Samsung, as well as sovereign entities like Saudi Aramco. In 2025, it entered into a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Nvidia, which demonstrates the regard in which its technology is held. It also raised substantial new funding in 2026 which supports its continued growth.
