Who you are
- Our ideal Customer Engineer is hands-on, collaborative, self-motivated, and innovative

- BS in Computer Science, Human Machine Interface Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent
- 3-5 years experience with application development using Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and other industry standard languages and frameworks
- 3-5 years experience with backend and DBMS technology, including SQLserver, MySQL, Redis, Elastic, Kibana and RabbitMQ
- Experience with Kubernetes, docker micro-services, and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- In-depth hands-on experience with industry standard frameworks like React or similar
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling (Pub/Sub), threading and high performance enterprise systems
- Experience with RESTful APIs (JWT, FastAPI/Flask) and unit testing
- Curious about new technology, able to change quickly
Desirable
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience
- Familiar with data stack applications like SQL Database, Data warehouse, Kafka etc
- Knowledge in Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning
What the job involves
- Vianai is looking for an experienced Customer Engineer who will augment our human-centered products through customer interaction and proviging technical workarounds
- We need you to drive technical changes for our clients and support them as they are brought onboard and up to speed
- Collaborate with a diverse team of Designers, Developers, Engineers, Data Scientists both internally and with our customers
- Perform hands-on and in-depth investigations /debugging at all levels of our software stack
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability
- Communicate and present at all levels in a clear and simple manner showing good relationship skills and being a strong team player
- Take leadership to pursue the best, state-of-the-art solutions, within the dynamic requirements and timelines
Our take
Vianai has released what it describes as a human-centered AI platform, which currently consists of two tools: the Vian H+AI MLOps Platform, which helps enterprise clients deploy and manage more ML models at scale; and Dealtale, a no-code platform helping marketing and sales teams use data science. The former was released in 2022, and the latter was an acquisition made in the same year, so Vianai has been picking up its pace of growth recently.
This is good timing. The appetite for more AI/ML action among top-tier businesses is, broadly speaking, on the up. While Vianai is tight-lipped about its client base, the competitive advantage of handling and acting upon big data means Vianai should be looking at a strong market.
AI and ML, however, are still fairly loose categories - especially at the enterprise level. It means that products in this area can be tricky to market, and willing enterprises may struggle to pull together enough compliant data to make the products valuable. Alongside some hefty funding announcements, Vianai has launched a product in partnership with intelligent integration company Boomi - Boomi World - which will power accurate, enterprise-grade financial AI solutions. This launch suggests that the company is getting over these industry-wide marketing road bumps, so it will be interesting to see how Boomi World fares.
