- Communication. Your communication skills are top-notch. You can write fast, clearly, and with impeccable grammar that makes your written communication shine. You have a high EQ, and are able to clearly communicate with your colleagues
- Attentiveness. You have incredible attention to detail and extremely strong organizational skills. You also know how to listen to customers, and don’t just talk
- Team player. You thrive in team environments, balancing your competitive nature with your love of supporting others. You understand and demonstrate, in many ways, that the team winning is more important than you winning
- Experience. You’re not just a top-tier salesperson, but you’ve spent years successfully guiding complex software sales through myriad internal and buyer stakeholders. You know how to manage similar deal sizes ($2,500-$100,000 ARR) and sales cycles (1-20 weeks)
Desirable
- Recent startup experience, with a track record of driving sales, comfort with ambiguity and ability to step outside your job description
- You've sold software before in the multi-family real-estate industry, with some kind of in-person operational component
- You have a background in parking, real estate and/or property management
- You have a passion for changing the built world, and creating a safer, greener, more affordable world that doesn't have vastly too much parking
What the job involves
- Learn Parkade's product and vision inside and out, master our value props, understand the objections you'll get, and identify product gaps we should improve to help you close more sales
- Get to know the world of property managers (if you don’t already), understand their role, how they manage parking today and how Parkade can capture the opportunity
- Make foundational decisions about how sales should work at Parkade — working hand in hand with our CEO to do things like designing our outbound strategy, crafting our outbound sequences to match personas, or structuring our commission process
- Own the full sales lifecycle from first contact with building owners/managers to handing off to our customer success team
- Generate new outbound leads through outbound prospecting, including email, phone, LinkedIn, referrals, and any other channel that might work
- Identify and adopt cutting-edge technologies that help you get the job done better
- Report directly to the co-founder/CEO
Our take
Inefficiencies in the way parking is handled, especially in the US, have led to an overabundance of parking lots taking up land that could be better used by communities. Parkade aims to revolutionize parking at offices and apartment buildings with its parking spot reservation and management app.
With the Parkade app for tenant buildings, users can reserve, change, pay for, share and report problems with their parking spots. Its automated parking spot leasing covers any duration of lease, and expands parking capacity by making it simple to share unused spaces. The company's offering for offices enables businesses to switch their parking facilities to a lease model, giving them better control over how parking space is utilized in their lots.
With the ultimate aim to enable future structures to be built with less parking, Parkade has set its sight on real impact for city planning and optimized spaces. Funds raised by the company are cited to help broaden and accelerate product development, as well as fuel a period of aggresive expansion.
