Who you are
- Experience: At least 2+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
- Tech Stack: Mastery of Ruby on Rails. Proficiency in a JS Framework (Vue/Nuxt) is a major plus
- Efficiency Obsession: You know how to leverage AI tools (LLMs, Copilots, etc.) and automation to move faster and smarter than the average dev
- Communication: Fluent in French & English (B2/C1). German is a bonus !
- Adaptability: You are energized by an ever-shifting startup environment and love collaborating with diverse stakeholders (Data, Sales, Marketing)
- Ideally you’ve already got some knowledge with data tools including data tools integration (GTM, Segment) or data visualization (Datastudio, Looker) and you’re familiar with digital marketing (paid acquisition, conversion, SEO…)

- We help entrepreneurs rid themselves of time-consuming tasks related to accounting and finance while providing them with access to key financial information to assist in making the best decisions for their business
- You will join our Growth Team and work collaboratively with Thomas the growth engineer team lead within the Marketign website squad
- We are looking for a talented full stack software engineer whose main mission will be to ⏬
- Global Scaling: Build and refine the infrastructure supporting our internationalization (multi-language, localized user journeys…)
- Intelligent Automation: Design and deploy AI-driven tools and automated workflows to streamline lead acquisition and personalize user experiences at scale
- Tracking & Insights: Implement and enhance sophisticated visitor tracking systems to turn raw data into actionable growth levers
- Ecosystem Connectivity: Design and develop robust APIs to ensure seamless data flow between our internal tools and the broader fintech ecosystem
- High-Velocity Experimentation: Launch needle-moving projects including A/B tests, white-label integrations, predictive lead scoring, and optimized acquisition funnels
- Performance Optimization: Maintain and push the limits of our public website and registration funnels for peak conversion across all markets

Our take
In multiple mature markets, companies have been using QuickBooks, Xero and other SaaS solutions for accounting, but it is a fragmented industry with each country using its own software solution. In France, there is no definitive SaaS solution for accounting.
Pennylane wants to overhaul current tools and modernise the tech stack of accounting firms, by connecting directly with third-party services that hold valuable information. Accounting firms can use Pennylane collaboratively by accessing the platform to centralise receipts, create invoices and automate tasks. Instead of sending information back and forth with spreadsheets and photo attachments, both clients and accounting firms can interact directly on the platform.
Pennylane has a significant market opportunity ahead, with an ambitious goal to become the preferred management platform for European companies. The company already claims an impressive number of customers and strong backing which will allow it to further develop its platform and expand to other markets in Europe.
