Role
Who you are
- 1+ year of professional experience in sales, customer-facing, business development roles and or recent college graduate
- Comfortable using AI-assisted sales tools (e.g., for prospecting, email drafting, call summarization) as part of daily workflow
- Bachelors degree
Desirable
- Clear, confident communicator who can engage different audiences, in both written and verbal outreach
- Experience working in Gsuite
- Working proficiency with a CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement/outreach tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo)
- Positive, persistent, and highly organized — you follow up, follow through, and bring energy to every interaction
- Motivated by learning, iteration, and experimentation — you treat outreach like a craft
- Comfortable with a mix of structure and ambiguity — you can execute repeatable processes while improving them along the way
- Excited about modern sales tech, AI tools, and shaping how next-generation GTM teams operate
- Prior experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company
What the job involves
- Pave's sales team is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative to help accelerate our growth and expand our compensation network
- As an SDR, you'll play a pivotal role in our go-to-market strategy, prospecting into HR and Finance leaders and opening conversations about how companies can revolutionize their approach to compensation
- This role offers unique exposure to founders, investors, and industry leaders while helping shape the future of compensation technology
- Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other engagement channels
- Research target accounts and develop personalized outreach strategies that resonate with executive stakeholders
- Partner closely with Account Executives to build account plans and execute coordinated outbound campaigns
- Leverage AI-powered sales tools and data signals to prioritize outreach and maximize efficiency
- Qualify prospective customers and schedule high-quality discovery meetings that convert into pipeline
- Maintain accurate activity, account, and opportunity data within Salesforce and other sales systems
Our take
Compensation survey and merit cycle processes are integral to so many businesses, and yet remain time-consuming manual activities. Staff often lack financial training resulting in spreadsheet induced errors. Pave saw a need to update and streamline the process.
The core advantage of Pave is its ease of integration with HRIS, ATS and cap table software, creating real-time compensation data views without the need for spreadsheets. Using the software creates a fair and transparent system that management can rely on and employees can respect. The company has seen strong momentum, with backing from big names like Y Combinator and az16.
Some organisations have been reluctant to adopt solutions like Pave’s on account of the radical transparency it provides. However, with companies like Credit Karma, Miro and Discord all signing on, Pave has proven its ability to draw lucrative enterprise-level clients. It also became a Unicorn in 2022 after an impressive Series C funding round, boding well for its longevity.
