• The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions
• 7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• 5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
• 5+ years of Mainframe application modernization experience and understand and implement GenAI solutions

• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap
• Provide advanced technical knowledge with Mainframe application modernization aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc
• Develop innovative solutions for Mainframe modernization with GenAI technologies
• Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures
• As a Mainframe Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS, you’ll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and develop solutions to accelerate their cloud migration journey
• You will operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey
• You will engage with senior customer leaders and technical stakeholders to help them achieve increased agility and significant business value by advising and defining their migration approach to the cloud
• You’ll manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, optimization, and operational efficiency to accelerate their large scale Migration projects
• Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features
• Externally, the Mainframe Migration Specialist Solutions Architect works with large enterprises, helping them effectively lead their migration readiness assessment and migration and modernization strategy
