Role
Who you are
- Our ideal candidate is a systems thinker, strategic builder, and a sound operator who will be the voice to represent the segment internally and externally
- 8+ years of experience in sales, with at least 4 years in a management role focused on small business accounts
- Second line leadership experience preferred
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Growth and leadership mindset and a solutions oriented approach
- Effective communicator with a high EQ and empathetic style
- Strong people management, coaching, and development experience
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions
- Strong prioritization, territory planning, and team-selling experience
- Takes an active interest in increasing customer satisfaction and deepening customer relationships
- Managing remote sales reps, and previous entrepreneurial experience are bonuses
What the job involves
- Hover is looking for a seasoned sales leader who can build and manage teams of managers and sales reps responsible for new and existing business in the Construction vertical; our largest revenue driving vertical
- This person will lead the Small Business team; the fastest growing segment in Construction
- This position will be responsible for frontline sales leadership while also managing second-line managers
- You will join a team of highly motivated and energetic sales professionals that take pride in running high velocity sales processes and delivering our vision
- We want a highly emotionally intelligent, mission-driven leader who will set and refine strategy, own revenue targets, implement repeatable processes, and partner well cross functionally with other departments
- As the Director of Small Business Sales, will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and developing strategic initiatives for our fastest-growing segment
- You will manage and own all Small Business revenue and lead a sales team focused on new business, existing business, and user enablement and activation efforts
- You will hire, coach, and retain top sales talent
- You will partner closely with your manager and team to strategize about deal discovery, account penetration, and tactics to help close business
- You’ll work cross-functionally with departments within Hover to identify obstacles and inefficiencies, create motivating compensation plans, and implement new sales initiatives to increase organizational efficiency
- Additionally, you will utilize data to help refine and optimize sales motions, drive top-of-funnel leads, and ultimately build a powerful, predictable, and scalable machine

Our take
Hover sets out to disrupt the exterior home improvement industry with a platform that enables homeowners to turn basic photos of their property into full 3D models. The platform uses up to eight ground-level photographs of the property, which are patched together into a three-dimensional image.
This image, which is layered with information on materials and dimensions of the structure, can then be used by insurance companies to assess and price damage, without the need to dispatch an inspector.
Hover has had over one million app downloads and following series D financing in 2020, the company has invested in enhancing its 3D data platform whilst expanding its eCommerce efforts. In 2022, Hover was named one of CB Insights Top 50 innovative Insurtech companies 2022.
