Role
Who you are
- Minimum 2 years of technical sourcing experience (preference for someone with high volume technical sourcing or agency experience)
- Experience sourcing EPD hires in the US high-tech sector
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Your outreach will primarily be done on behalf of a start up co-founder/CEO so must be of a high-quality
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Strong time management with the ability to wear multiple hats and juggle competing priorities e.g. leading strategic sourcing initiatives whilst screening candidates, partnering with recruiters/HMs etc
- High bar for execution and comfort with a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- As a Technical Sourcer at Nooks, you will be instrumental in helping us build our engineering and product teams
- You’ll partner with our EPD hiring managers and tech recruiters to understand the complex needs of technical roles and proactively build a high-quality pipeline of software engineering candidates, primarily through proactive outbound courtship
- Sourcing candidates using multiple channels e.g. LinkedIn, GitHub, other platforms, referrals. You will also leverage more creative strategies such as targeting hackathon competitors, responding to market intelligence (lay-off news) etc
- Building and nurturing a pipeline of top technical talent for future opportunities
- Managing candidate experience particularly during the first half of the funnel, ensuring a positive and engaging process from initial outreach through to completion of a technical interview
- Maintaining recruiting metrics and communicating progress to your key stakeholders i.e. keeping a tab on your data, being introspective regarding your own personal ROI/yield, tweaking your approach based on that and coming up with recommendations for how the team holistically can be more efficient
Our take
For many businesses, the rise in hybrid and remote working has lessened team building and collaboration within their teams. Nooks was founded in 2020, initially as a virtual space for sales teams to collaborate and work in real-time, and to feel like they're working in the same room as their colleagues.
Nooks evolved from that social workflow premise and developed an AI dialer to automate manual tasks for sales teams. It also has a "Call Analytics" tool for sales teams to transcribe, analyse and improve upon their calls. Meanwhile, its virtual salesfloor still makes collaborating, team building and training easier for virtual teams.
While Nooks is up against large workflow management platforms such as Slack, its tight focus on sales teams lets it stand out. This speciality has led to several rounds of funding for Nooks, two of which came in 2024 off the back of massive momentum and growth for the company.
