Our take
Mercanis sets out to overturn procurement, supplying digital solutions that enables users to streamline sourcing, supplier management, contract management and spend analysis. In an industry where digitisation has been slow, this helps businesses to avoid missing out on cost-saving procedures and optimised productivity.
The company's offering lets procurement specialists work on strategic tasks through smart automation, leveraging data to help them make better decisions. In doing so, Mercanis is disrupting how companies collaborate with their service providers, whilst increasing transparency in the selection process.
This approach makes buying services smarter and more efficient, while also ensuring compliance. It's an attractive idea, one that earned Mercanis $17.3M in backing in 2025, which will be used to expand its footprint and continue development efforts.
