Role
Who you are
- You have experience in full-cycle closing customer deals in a B2B sales environment
- Ideally, you have experience selling marketing technology or SaaS products to higher-education, government or non-profit organizations
- Or you have held a target-driven position within a Higher-Ed institution and can demonstrate strong sales acumen (admissions/recruitment preferred)
- You consistently hit and exceed your sales targets
- You’re a consultative seller
- You have excellent leadership skills to inspire and coach junior sales
- Analytical ability and understanding of sophisticated sales processes with a data-driven mindset
What the job involves
- As an Account Executive or University Partnerships Manager as we call them, you will help drive Unibuddy’s future growth by building relationships with prospective universities and turning them into happy and successful users of Unibuddy
- Our customers come from all over the world and you will be responsible for developing and securing opportunities across North America, working with the rest of the sales team to identify key target regions, sectors and organizations
- Work with the sales team management to develop and implement an effective sales strategy
- Deeply understand the needs, key drivers and success factors of Unibuddy’s clients
- Acquire new Unibuddy university clients to hit/exceed quarterly sales targets through a consultative sales approach
- Effectively manage your pipeline of deals to meet your personal, and the team’s, revenue goals
- Identify and implement key areas for improvement in the sales process
- Measure and report on sales metrics and performance to redefine sales outreach best practices
- Participate in team improvement activities and ongoing sales coaching
- Oversee activities, monitor performance and deliver continual training for the SDRs within the sales department
Our take
Universities are big, complex institutions that can't afford to invest that much time and effort into their websites. At the same time, universities are facing increasing competition to attract students (it's getting more common to consider apprenticeships, coding bootcamps or go straight into work).
Unibuddy makes it easy for universities to connect with more prospective students to drive applications. Its peer-to-peer setup means the operational effort for the company is low, as current students answer the questions.
Unibuddy has firm goals in mind - partnering up with more institutions internationally to empower more students, grow the size of the company, expand its product range, and above all, Unibuddy wants to be an all-in-one platform - taking care of everything from selecting a programme, to onboarding to post-graduation.
