What the job involves
- We are seeking an energetic and organized Office Coordinator to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our workplace environment
- This role focuses on managing day-to-day office operations, including vendor management, event planning, and office supply coordination, while also contributing to a positive company culture
- Event Planning: Organize and execute company culture events, Friday lunches, and special celebrations to foster team spirit and engagement
- Swag Management: Oversee the sourcing, inventory, and distribution of company-branded swag and promotional items
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with vendors for office supplies, snacks, beverages, and other essential items, ensuring timely ordering and delivery
- Facility Management: Coordinate office maintenance and site improvement projects, including decorative items and other enhancements to create a welcoming environment
- Office Supplies Coordination: Manage the inventory of office supplies, sourcing and ordering items as needed to maintain a well-equipped workplace
- Tour Coordination: Potentially conduct tours of the office for visitors, showcasing the company’s culture and workspace

Though founded by serial antagoniser Elon Musk, The Boring Company’s underground transportation projects have led to the firm becoming a certified unicorn since its founding in 2016. Inspired by the congested transport system of Los Angeles, The Boring Company has completed successful tunnel projects in Las Vegas as well as products that help transport materials underground with as little disruption as possible.
In April 2022, The Boring Company received $675 million in Series C from the likes of Sequoia Capital and Valor Equity Partners, indicating a massive influence on the construction market of America.
Musk undermines the success of The Boring Company with website advertisements for zombie apocalypse “not-a-flamethrowers” and a perfume retail page for his “Burnt Hair” fragrance. Though obviously meant as jokes, these belittle and obfuscate the work that The Boring Company's employees put in. 2024 saw safety violations being raised concerning the Boring Company's Vegas tunnel, which will span 68 miles beneath the Nevada city.
