Who you are

B.S. in an engineering discipline
10+ years experience in Technical Program Management or Engineering Program Management
Experience leading the development and launch of at least 3 new products into production
Strong technical background in hardware, device software, cloud development, and computer vision, with a solid understanding of engineering principles, processes, and best practices
Experience working closely with multidisciplinary technical teams to drive fast paced delivery of critical products and functionality
Deep knowledge of tools and techniques for managing complex product development through its entire lifecycle

What the job involves

The Staff Technical Program Manager will lead planning and releases of complex programs end-to-end
This role will work across engineering, product management, business, and operations to drive strategy into roadmaps and plans that deliver critical work on time and at high quality
In this role they will lead a multi-disciplinary effort across hardware, device software, cloud, and perception through all stages of the product lifecycle
Orchestrate end-to-end delivery of business critical, cross-functional engineering programs
Manage releases across all Engineering domains including AI, firmware, cloud, and hardware
Establish scalable systems and processes to manage the full product lifecycle—from concept through development, deployment, production, and ongoing iteration
Design and implement scalable planning processes to support the rapid growth and increasing complexity of the engineering organization
Align program execution with business priorities by driving accountability across engineering and non-engineering teams
Drive cross-functional planning across engineering and business teams, ensuring alignment of product roadmaps, technical execution, and company strategy
Improve forecasting accuracy, execution predictability, and organizational transparency through effective reporting and operational rigor

Our take

Cities around the world are dealing with clogged bus lanes, blocked stops, and traffic violations that slow down public transit and put people at risk. It's a huge problem that most cities face, but one that's often hard to monitor or enforce effectively.

Hayden AI is tackling this problem with its smart, bus-mounted cameras powered by AI. They automatically detect when vehicles block bus lanes or stops, helping cities gather real-time data and tacke action to imprvoe safety and traffic flow. Already in use in cities like New York, LA, and now Barcelona and Braga, it's a neat idea and one that's keeping buses moving and riders safe.

Its work is more than just ticketing, it's about making cities smarter, greener, and safer for everyone and its been making big moves. It just wrapped up its pilot in Portugal that revealed nearly 8,000 violations in just three months, and launched the largest automated enforcement project in Europe in Barcelona. With over $193M raised, the company is certainly growing fast and turning head in the govtech space.
