- Excellent understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL and experience in designing good APIs
- Deep understanding of technologies currently used in the industry (PHP & Python)
- Proven track record of leading successful engineering projects

- We are looking for someone with a passion for getting the most out of technology and people, setting the pace and direction of excellence for engineering craft
- Join our agile team on a mission to elevate AMBOSS into a guided learning experience by giving users the right learning material and challenges at the right time
- Drive engineering projects from conception to completion
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications
- Share your knowledge within AMBOSS community, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and growth
Our take
Becoming a doctor is undoubtedly challenging, but it is disheartening when the already demanding journey is further complicated by the intricate web of the medical education system. The current system often imposes restrictions on collaboration, fails to provide integrated resources, and sometimes lacks supportive examination boards.
AMBOSS was founded by doctors initially to help medical students overcome this mess but has now extended to become a knowledge platform for all types of medical professionals.
Today the company‘s products are used by more than a million healthcare professionals in over 180 countries. The strategy to extend their reach even further involves partnerships with major hospital groups like Helios.
The regularly upgraded knowledge base that the company has developed is an incredible growing asset. AMBOSS, however, will not rest on this and will continue to develop its smart learning technology to engage doctors even more deeply with their work.
