Company mission
To enable a secure, stable, and sustainable space environment for the US, its allies, and partners.
Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of experience in environmental graphic design, experiential design, exhibition design, branded environments, or a closely related discipline
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional environmental and graphic design across physical spaces. Experience spanning workplace, exhibitions, cultural spaces, events, retail, hospitality, or other branded environments is relevant
- Strong graphic design fundamentals, particularly typography, composition, hierarchy, imagery, and identity systems
- A strong editorial and curatorial sensibility, with an ability to combine graphics, language, imagery, objects, technology, and space into a coherent narrative
- Experience taking environmental projects from concept through fabrication and installation
- Fluency in large-format print production, signage, materials, finishes, substrates, fabrication techniques, and installation methods
- Comfortable reading and reviewing architectural plans, elevations, shop drawings, details, and specifications
- Experience working directly with fabricators, printers, architects, contractors, experiential agencies, and other external partners
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Working knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or other spatial design and visualization tools is a plus
- Ability to communicate spatial ideas clearly through sketches, diagrams, elevations, renderings, mockups, and presentations
- Strong creative judgment paired with the resourcefulness to solve design problems within real-world budget, schedule, production, and site constraints
- Comfortable moving between highly visible, long-term environments and fast-turn projects without treating either as a lesser design problem
- Collaborative by nature and comfortable developing ideas alongside graphic designers, experiential designers, writers, content creators, architects, and production partners
- Curious about technology, culture, design, architecture, art, and the world beyond traditional environmental graphic design
- Able to operate with autonomy in a fast-moving environment, balancing multiple projects at different scales and stages of development
- Willingness to travel for site visits, events, production reviews, and installations as needed
What the job involves
- As Senior Environmental Graphic Designer, you'll define how True Anomaly shows up in the physical world
- This is a ground-floor opportunity to establish the physical expression of a brand at a company in tremendous growth, creating the environmental design language for an entire industry being defined in real time
- Our brand increasingly lives beyond the screen: in workplaces and R&D environments, customer spaces, industry events, and installations that make what we're building real
- You'll bring both a designer's and a curator's eye to the work, considering how graphics, language, imagery, objects, materials, and architecture work together to tell a story
- The goal isn't to apply the brand to an environment but to make our technology, people, and mission tangible
- You'll sit within Brand & Creative, reporting to the Head of Graphic Design & Brand Identity, and partner closely with Facilities Design, Experiential, and Copy. Your work will span permanent architectural environments and quick experiential projects
- You'll start hands-on, shaping both the work and the systems behind it. As True Anomaly grows, you'll define how environmental design grows as a capability within Brand & Creative
- Lead environmental graphic design from concept through installation across workplaces, R&D spaces, customer environments, events, exhibits, and branded installations
- Translate True Anomaly's visual identity into physical space, creating new expressions of typography, imagery, information, materiality, and storytelling rather than applying existing assets to surfaces
- Bring an editorial point of view to physical environments, composing graphics, imagery, artifacts, objects, and digital content into cohesive spatial narratives
- Develop design deliverables that clearly communicate intent: concepts, mood boards, layouts, elevations, material palettes, mockups, presentations
- Design experiences that integrate physical and digital storytelling through displays, projection, motion, interactive content, and product models
- Translate complex technology and ideas into experiences that are compelling and understandable without oversimplifying
- Design branded environments for events, launches, customer demos, and installations, from scalable systems to bespoke moments, in partnership with internal teams and external agencies
- Consider the full audience journey: what draws someone in, what they discover, and what they remember
- Create flexible design systems that scale across different footprints, venues, audiences, and budgets without losing brand integrity
- Support on-site installation, styling, troubleshooting, and final creative decisions when needed
- Own environmental design through production and installation, ensuring creative intent survives fabrication realities
- Prepare and review production documentation: artwork, dimensions, elevations, specifications, material selections, shop drawings, installation guides
- Partner directly with fabricators, printers, sign vendors, architects, contractors, and experiential agencies
- Evaluate materials, substrates, finishes, fabrication techniques, and physical details for quality, durability, cost, and feasibility
- Participate in site surveys, production reviews, installation oversight, and punch-listing as needed
- Understand schedules and budgets well enough to make smart creative decisions and identify risks early
- Define True Anomaly's environmental design language as an extension of the visual identity, creating continuity across digital, print, motion, and environmental expressions
- Establish principles, standards, templates, material approaches, and repeatable systems that enable consistent execution without one-size-fits-all solutions
- Develop guidelines and tools that enable internal teams and external partners to execute the environmental brand
- Build and maintain relationships with a trusted network of fabricators, printers, vendors, craftspeople, and specialty partners
- Continue exploring new materials, technologies, and fabrication methods that push the physical expression of the brand forward and raise the quality bar as the company grows

Our take
True Anomaly is a space tech startup composed of former military operators and engineers. The Colorado-based company is focused on building spacecraft and software solutions designed to secure U.S. commercial and military interests in space. It has already developed a fully-integrated platform with seamless satellite, navigation, and data-capture technologies that provide security and training for the quickly evolving space market.
Founded in 2022, True Anomaly has already designed its first spacecraft, the Jackal Autonomous Orbital Vehicle, which can be used to train operators on the ground or as intelligence-gathering tools against adversarial spacecraft. Alongside this, the startup has built a 35,000-square-foot facility in Denver to manufacture the Jackals.
With impressive capital gained in 2023 and 2025, the company validated the Jackal's technical and operational capabilities and made the necessary investments to scale production. And with its most recent capital injection, the company is ready to fund space missions and further scale its operations.
