- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent operational experience required (Master’s or CPA preferred)
- Strong experience collaborating directly with Revenue Accounting and Finance teams to support month-end close processes, AR reconciliations, and revenue recognition compliance
- Proven track record of managing and scaling offshore teams, third-party BPO vendors, or global shared service centers with high standards of operational quality

What the job involves
- We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Billing & Collections to lead and optimize our global end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) operations
- In this high-impact leadership position, you will oversee customer invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable, and dispute resolution across all entities
- You will serve as a key operational partner across Finance, Sales, and Corporate Engineering, driving core system initiatives, streamlining billing workflows, and collaborating closely with Deal Desk to ensure complex deal structures transition seamlessly from contract to cash
- Additionally, you will partner closely with the Revenue Accounting team to ensure seamless execution and support during the monthly close cycle
- You will manage and scale a high-performing hybrid team of onshore and offshore resources, balancing strong financial governance with exceptional customer experiences
- If you thrive in a fast-paced environment at the intersection of Financial Operations, Sales Alignment, and Systems Engineering, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to drive revenue integrity, reduce DSO, and scale our infrastructure
- Lead, mentor, and scale the billing and collections teams, including AR accountants across onshore and offshore locations
- Foster a performance-driven, customer-centric culture that balances firm financial control with high-quality customer touchpoints
- Partner closely with Sales leadership and Account Executives to build strong relationships that empower sales teams to support collection efforts and resolve billing disputes efficiently
- Work directly with Deal Desk and Legal during contract negotiations and the contract signing process. Leverage sales relationships to turn sensitive collection discussions into positive customer touchpoints that protect long-term account value
- Partner closely with the Revenue Accounting team to support the monthly financial close cycle, ensuring timely billing cutoff
- Provide accurate monthly reporting, bad debt reserve assessments, and unapplied cash reconciliations to support smooth financial reporting and audit readiness
- Oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all customer billing streams across SaaS subscriptions, usage-based models, and enterprise contracts. Ensure all billing workflows and transaction flows comply with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) and regional/international tax requirements
- Supervise the resolution of complex billing inquiries, unapplied cash, and escalated customer account discrepancies
- Direct global collections strategy to maximize cash recovery while preserving key customer relationships
- Analyze delinquent accounts, bad debt trends, and aging profiles; implement targeted strategy to minimize write-offs and allowance reserves
- Drive automated cash application strategies and automated collection escalation workflows
- Continuously streamline Order-to-Cash processes by identifying operational bottlenecks, eliminating manual interventions, and establishing best-in-class workflows across global operations
- Partner closely with Corporate Engineering (IT), Finance Systems, and Product teams on system architecture initiatives—leading the strategy, design, testing, and deployment for billing platform enhancements, revenue engines, and collection tools
- Maintain robust internal controls (SOX compliance where applicable) and lead internal and external financial audit preparations
Our take
In the US, there's been a booming demand for home-service businesses, yet historically many of these trades were running with outdated software systems. That's where ServiceTitan comes in. Founded by friends who grew up around the trades, the company saw a clear gap and set out to give contractors the modern platform they desperately needed.
ServiceTitan's platform is designed specifically for the trades and brings together everything a contractor might need, in one handy system. By focusing on what trade-business owners actually need, it helps turn chaos into structure, giving visibility into operations, so owners can ultimately run their business better.
Now, ServiceTitan serves more than 11,800 trade customers and reported more than $10,000 in annualized billings and processes a huge volume of jobs on its platform. With a market that's still under-served by technology and a platform built to scale, the company is ready to grow even further.
