Role
Who you are
- This role is ideal for someone who is excited about the 0→1 stage of building a sales function, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to grow alongside a fast-moving company at the forefront of enterprise AI
- 6 months - 3 years of experience in a sales development, business development, or lead generation role, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline generation targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage C-suite executives and technical stakeholders
- Strong research skills and the ability to understand complex enterprise environments
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
- Curiosity about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and enterprise software
- Experience with CRM tools and sales engagement platforms
Desirable
- Experience selling to or prospecting into government, public sector, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, workflow automation, or developer tools
- Experience working at an early-stage startup
- Background in technical or consultative sales environments
What the job involves
- We are looking to add a Business Development Representative to our team to help build and scale the top of our sales funnel
- This individual will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new business opportunities within enterprise organizations
- You will be the first point of contact for potential customers, introducing them to Thread AI's Lemma platform and the transformative power of composable AI infrastructure
- You will work closely with our Account Executives and Applied AI Strategists to develop outreach strategies, refine messaging, and generate qualified pipeline
- Conduct proactive outbound prospecting via email, phone, automated tools, and LinkedIn to generate new business opportunities with enterprise and public sector organizations
- Research and identify key decision-makers and stakeholders within target accounts
- Qualify inbound leads and marketing-generated opportunities to assess fit and interest
- Articulate Thread AI's value proposition and Lemma's capabilities to technical and non-technical audiences
- Schedule discovery calls and product demonstrations for Account Executives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system
- Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on messaging, campaigns, and lead quality
- Stay informed on AI industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging use cases for workflow orchestration
- Contribute to the development of sales playbooks, scripts, and best practices
