Role
Who you are
- At least 5 years experience in data science
- Education : top engineering school or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or relevant technical field
- Strong statistical, analytical and deep learning skillsStrong knowledge of Python and SQL. Tensorflow is a plus
- Experience with feature engineering, machine learning models training, evaluation, deployment and serving
- Aware of the constraints when working with large amounts of data
- Proficiency with version control Git
- Experience with demand forecasting and pricing is a plus
- A strong team-player, willing to share knowledge with other team members and help out where needed;You have strong verbal and written English language skills
- Self-starter and autonomous
- Collaborative and have a real team player mindset
What the job involves
- As a data scientist at Veepee, you will join our Data Science Team of 15 people, which is fully cloud-native and distributed between Paris, Barcelona and Brussels
- Your mission will be to build, deploy and maintain state of the art machine learning algorithms for various use cases such as recommender systems, targeting, catalog search, demand forecasting and more!
- This position is mainly focused on recommender systems
- Build and improve the data science stack
- Create insights and visualizations of data
- Train machine learning models at scale in a cloud environment
- A/B test your ML models on the website and learn from the results
- Write production-ready code
- Keep improving your technical knowledge and expertise by attending conferences, contributing to open-source projects, organizing and attending meetups and internal learnshops
