Who you are
- 0–2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar customer-facing role [Fresh graduates with strong communication skills, a competitive mindset, and a demonstrated drive to succeed are also encouraged to apply]
- Comfortable working in a high-volume prospecting environment, including making 200+ cold calls per day using modern BD tools and techniques such as power/parallel dialing (Nooks)
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage high activity volume while maintaining a clean and accurate CRM
- A coachable, curious mindset with a strong desire to learn, improve quickly, and grow your career
- A confident communicator who can quickly learn complex industry concepts, understand customer pain points, and spark meaningful conversations
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a driven, high-energy Business Development Specialist to help fuel AiDASH’s continued growth by opening doors with decision-makers across North American electric utilities
- This is a fast-paced, high-impact role built for someone someone who is motivated by goals, thrives in a high-energy environment, and is excited to build their sales and business development skills
- The Demand Generation team has played a critical role in driving more than 75% of AiDASH’s rapid growth since inception
- We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, resilient, and eager to learn and sharpen their craft alongside a high-performing team
- Whether you’re a recent graduate looking to launch your career in business development or have 1–2 years of outbound sales experience, this is an opportunity to build valuable skills, take on meaningful responsibility, and grow with a fast-moving team
- Execute high-volume outbound prospecting every day across cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, and highly personalized email campaigns to engage target utility accounts
- Qualify leads and schedule high-quality introductory meetings for Account Executives
- Maintain a highly accurate and organized Salesforce pipeline - every interaction logged, every record up to date
- Collaborate closely with Field Sales and Marketing teams on account strategy, messaging, and campaign execution
- Consistently achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly meeting and opportunity targets
- Take full ownership of your performance by tracking metrics, analyzing results, and continuously refining your approach
- Represent AiDASH alongside Account Executives and teammates at utility and industry conferences across North America
Our take
The growing constellations of satellites delivering high definition earth imaging, along with advancements in AI, have spawned a flourishing business in ‘digital twins’ for global asset management. These digital data-compilation copies of on-the-ground locations can be used to help predict and mitigate the effects of climate disaster events - which cost the US billions of dollars each year.
AiDash’s various products help manage disaster, disruption and wildfires, as well as monitoring vegetation. The latter service, its original one, has a host of high-profile global clients, such as National Grid. The company's expansion into climate resilience demonstrates a keen awareness of both its tech's potential and the direction of the market - with environmental issues becoming even more of a hot topic in recent years.
The company has done well to prove its agility, which may well enable it to stay ahead of more specified rivals as they enter the scene. This includes companies like Kettle and Technosylva which operate in the predictive climate analytics space. AiDash's comparatively diverse offering should help it retain a competitive edge, while the substantial funding it has secured supports the pursuit of heightened global expansion.
