Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 10 years in a partnerships leadership role within the tech (ideally SaaS) industry, with a track record of driving revenue through strategic partnerships
- Expertise in establishing marketplaces, building partner channels, and managing large-scale partner account relationships
- Strong understanding of global system integrators and tech ecosystem partners
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale partnerships that drive business growth and market expansion
- Exceptional negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills, with experience managing complex deals, and cross-functional collaboration with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a focus on delivering measurable results
- A deep network within the tech, cloud, and systems integrator ecosystems is a plus
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, balancing short-term results with long-term value creation
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA, JD or equivalent experience is preferred
What the job involves
- As the Head of Partnerships, you will lead Altana’s efforts to establish, manage and scale strategic partnerships that drive growth, expand our ecosystem, and deliver value to our customers. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, your work will directly influence Altana’s ability to deliver on its mission and scale its impact globally
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities for new and existing partnerships with key channel and other strategic partners as well as global systems integrators and other tech integration ecosystem players that align with Altana’s growth objectives
- Build a robust pipeline of potential partners by understanding market trends, competitor activity, and areas of opportunity within the tech, cloud, and digital ecosystems
- Define a clear partnership strategy and execution roadmap, ensuring alignment with Altana’s broader business goals
- Drive partnership initiatives that lead to direct and measurable substantial revenue growth for Altana, such as through co-selling, marketplace opportunities, solution integrations and bundled offerings and joint go-to-market initiatives
- Work closely with Altana’s executive and other internal teams (sales, product, marketing, etc.) to structure win-win partnership agreements that align with Altana’s goals, while delivering value to partners
- Collaborate with partners on joint marketing, sales, and customer success initiatives, ensuring Altana’s solutions are well-positioned in the marketplace through collaborative efforts
- Set KPIs and regularly report on the performance of partnerships, ensuring consistent tracking of partnership-driven revenue, product integration success, and overall impact on Altana’s business objectives
- Grow, direct and mentor the partnerships team and function, ensuring they are positioned to execute high-value partnerships. Scale the team as the program evolves to meet the expanding needs of Altana’s business objectives
Our take
Altana AI’s platform provides a shared source of truth for the global supply chain. The idea is that this will help businesses and governing powers optimize global commerce which, over the past few years, has shot up on the list of international priorities. With three quarters of businesses reporting recent supply chain disruptions, and governments increasingly concerned with mitigating security threats, data-driven visibility is more sought after than ever before.
Crucially, the platform doesn’t require data sharing to create global intelligence, instead using a federated machine learning approach. This is a nut many big-data companies have been trying to crack, and Altana AI’s success has attracted the company interest from top-tier investors like Google Ventures and Floating Point alongside contracts with the UK Department of Business & Trade. A number of other headline enterprises and government agencies are already on the company's customer roster.
With companies looking to recoup some of the $4 trillion reportedly lost in supply chain disruptions over recent years, and the push for global databases getting stronger, logistics startups are having a fruitful investment period. Altana is crafting a remarkable product at a highly marketable time, and with good uptake so far. Backed by substantial funding, Altana is set for a strong few years.
